I was born in 1993 and love Rovers. Gutted it wasn’t a few years later

I was there in the Blackburn end absolutely cracking game

My first game at The Rovers was In the early 70's It was Duncan McKenzie's first game at Ewood Park v Blackpool!! I think It was a 1-1 draw!! I was 7 or8 years old. To this date 2023 My older brother of four year's and my younger Brother of Six years both are (Man Fucking Utd) Fan's!! Pare of pricks.

Hendry, another Scottish great. People for some reason seem to think we had crap footballers or something, Scotland produced alot of greats that propelled alot of English clubs to greatness and were the engine rooms, people should remember that, even at smaller clubs, remember Porterfield and Kerr at Sunderland for e.g. too.

Those were the days. All standing in the Blackburn end and being pushed forward by the crowd when we scored. Definitely miss the atmosphere and the camaraderie of those days. The whole Blackburn end chanting and singing together, win, loose, or draw. West Brom fans summed up the atmosphere at home games at Tugay’s last Rovers game by singing “It’s just like being in church” and that was a near sellout.

The Old Wembley and Football before the Premier League it’s like watching a different game altogether

And he took them all the way to the top of the Premiership

Nice one for posting this. Was at the game. I remember going to the club shop after and placing an order for it on VHS video. Great game. Great memories.

I firmly believe that if Barcelona had kept Maradona and paired him with Archibald the club could ve won the 1986 European Cup final against Steaua Bucharest. Later Lineker came and the club also could ve won things between 87 and 89 with Lineker and Maradona as a duo

A great atmosphere in the Blackburn end. Must have been 10k in just the BBE. One of my best memories of watching rovers. Perhaps second only to VE Day 1995! Perhaps I forgot 1975 comeback against Plymouth but the crowd was not the same. The villa game was the first time in decades that the crowd truly believed that we were on track for a top tier return.

I was there home and away and at Wembley they were really needle matches there was bother at every game there was so much at stake

Jesus it seems so long ago it really was a magic time back then for Rovers and me we really were very very good

How good is that honest northern folk 28000 of them and I was one of them in a Britain that sadly no longer exists watching a small town team Blackburn win at Wembley I've watched Rovers twice there and never seen them lose !!
