Join us as we explore Šmartno pri Litiji 🇸🇮 #11
The eleventh municipality we visited was Šmartno pri Litiji. 😎
First, we rose above the clouds to visit the Church of St. Anton ⛪️ and the centuries-old linden tree🌳. Then, we descended back into the valley to see the Church of St. Martin⛪️ and the birthplace of Slavko Grum🏠. We explored Bogenšperk Castle🏰, the EKO Farm Pr’Nejc, the Javor Energy Trail🏃🏻♂️, and, finally, the remains of defense againts the Turks with an incredible view.🌅

Nice! Next time you can go into the pyramid and take steps to the upper floors to get some view, nobody will stop you. The wooden tower is privately owned so probably the owners don't like or risk having tourists on it. Otherwise you covered all of the main things in this little town. Very good job!

I enjoy your videos. Thank you. The first bishop of my hometown of Marquette Michigan was from Slovenia. Some day if you have time maybe you could do a video about where he was from. All the information I have about him being from Slovewnia is the following, "Frederic Baraga was born on June 29, 1797 in the castle of Mala vas in North-Western Slovenia." I hope maybe one day you can find the place and do a video. I'm sure the people of my hometown would be interested. Thanks for your wonderful videos.
