Aldershot long valley old firing wall
I have been there
Frost block,
Can't believe it, has Browning Barracks now been demolished then? I can remember as if it was only last week doing my basic training there during the 90's. What memories, I'll never forget Aldershot. Is it actually worth having a trip to Aldershot or as everything changed that much its not worthwhile 😢😱
Para depot is still there hasn't been demolished yet most of the town is still the same a lot of the other Barracks have been demolished and now housing estate long Valley Caesars camp hasn't changed at all still a lot of history I go back every few years very sad to see but hasn't changed that much
Remember the old trainasium behind Ridgeway n Blythe billets . Doing stag with a pickaxe handle. Happy days 😨
Bastard government
1978 in there
Damm politicians.
So sad 😞
Very sad mate
Check out Chris Thralls site on YT in interviews ex para , sas , and marines,. Of all ages and conflicts. You get a good few paras in the chat ,. I do the mods job.
Browning Barracks once the Citadel of the Airborne Forces .
Almost 30years ago and current and past members of Airborne forces comment on how harder it was to pass p coy back then than present day ! I ve watched some of the present day vids on p coy and have come to the conclusion that it is only those that have completed such courses past or present that can rightfully comment on this !
Very true mate
was you in p company mate? curious. im joining next year.
aldershot gone ,borden gone, deepcut gone, and more sites gone,do we even have a army anymore??
That's the back of the 25 yard range... why would you want to film that?
Probably because its history. Why did you watch it
@@wendyrich885 Because I probably shot on it! It would have been more interesting if we had seen the front of the range!
ON THE DOUBLE!
1980 47plt JPC Grayburn VC bottom floor
1982 10 platoon Jpc Grayburn top floor and JPC was tougher than recruit company in many ways.
Frost block , second floor , far right window . Memories !!!
Housing estate now
The hallowed ground turned into a car park by craphats. Fukkin disgrace.
Paras dont even have a band in 2021 tragic
Bit pointless without content, the poster is showing what used to be the entrance up to Montgomery lines ( opposite browning bks, depot para) Monty lines housed 5 airborne bde, ( 2 of the resident parachute btns) and HQ, also sig sqn (216) and 9 sqn RE. Log btn was also to the right. It’s now a housing estate. Rhine bks Arnhem bks Normandy bks Bruneval bks ( the best lol)
Who put this up? An Argentinian? I enjoy the royal green jackets gaff in Winchester. And also A company 4 para in Walton Liverpool grace road it was called. Y could meet some very hard lads there! Very tasty lads the type that win wars...
I was at Grace Road, great place and great lads
I’m I the only person who thought someone bout to jump off the building
Dropped into the guardroom to fill up my water bottle when doing the South Downs of 21 SAS selection, Paras👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. What happened to the dakota?
They've taken it back up to Colchester
@@militaryplacesaldershot228 Good, thought the govt twots had scrapped it.☺
I think it only went up to Colchester 2015 was just left for 15 years
Did you make it through selection?
@@ucantjustdoit Yeah, so what? More than you ever did.. Wankerr
Soon will be gone
1984-90 military school of excellence.
I was there in 84 , my cpls where Steve Adams nickname Monster Adam,. Steve Barton , Blackie Dickson and cpl Black.
That is not old. When I was there in 1967, the Depot was the old Victorian red brick buildings.
So if you were Para Regt or did P Coy there in 67, why did you call it the way you did rather than its proper name? I was JPC in Malta Barracks 72 and 2 Para 74-97 and I know what it was called despite it being mainly levelled
@@peterstubbs5934 when i done it in 1966 we were in the old old,Maida barracks.
You’re talking about Maida Barracks. I can’t understand how anybody who trained there could forget the name.
total pain the old factory
Miss jumping in the Basingstoke canal in December off the bridge Lol 🙂
@@airborneassassin6588 in December? Mad dog! 🤣
I can mind getting punched on the side of the head in to the Basingstoke canal, bergen and all ... Did they wait until I got out to catch up? Not a fucking chance lol
@@airborneassassin6588 lol, those big round rivets. That was quite a drop. Sporty Shiney Or gungy sir ?
House of pain.
Next few weeks will be going back video a lot more of the buildings
I've buffed them floors many a time with the hand held bumper polisher and bee's wax.
I was there in 1987 522 platoon.

@@richardsmith5023 I was born in 1987 in the Louise Margaret hospital, Aldershot. I then went on to join 693 Normandy, age 17 Utrinque Paratus
