Birth Planning with The Baby Chick Nina Spears
One way you ca n vote like a mother? Well I don't think Kamala Harris actually gave birth to children so I don't think she would actually know what it felt like to be a real mother. Step children/ and stepmothers this whole story is not ever pleasant. I don't even remember seeing Kamala Harris she doesn't represent anything!
Dad of zero and done😂
Having one child should be criminalised
Survival mode is spot on I love my baby and truly no regrets but I keep looking at her and getting upset thinking about the older version of her being cast aside because of another baby I feel bad for how much less attention our dogs get let alone my daughter! I don't want to sign her up for that it wouldn't be fair for either of us! I only want one husband too! My family is my priority and I don't care how other people do it anymore this is enough for me. I love kids but I don't need to collect them all! Totally feel my milk come in hearing the good only child experiences 😂
Perkele
I think it's different being an only child when you have cousins that you're close enough to that you can describe her as being like a sister. My child has 1 much older cousin who's never around anyway, and this particular comment actually highlighted one reason to have a second, if there are no cousins or close friends with same-age kids around.
One thing I’m realizing more and more as a mom of a two-year-old is that more women than I ever thought have traumatic pregnancies/births/4th trimesters. Honestly it seems that’s the normal and not the other way around, but it’s just not talked about as much. I’ll forever be in awe of mothers who know that experience and choose to do it again. But also in awe of the mothers (like us) who know and respect our boundaries! All mothers are magic.
Hey Liz Swenson, I love your name!
Really need to see these kinds of videos. I have a 7 mo son and knew i wanted to be one and done before i was pregnant (as did my husband). I still feel the same way but sometimes find myself worrying if my son will be lonely without siblings and other little niggling concerns so its really great to hear positive only child stories from other OAD parents and only children. Feeling more content with my decision - I know if i had another child i couldnt give my full self to both children and relationships would suffer as would my mental health, so ultimately i know its the right decision for me. ❤
Same ❤
I gave a like and comment because there weren't any. Love this ❤ thanks 😊
Thank you for sharing! I am also a one and done mom. I knew when I was pregnant with my daughter. I hated being pregnant. The birth was traumatic and the postpartum depression and psychosis was devastating! Happy with my daughter:)
I'm so glad I stumbled across this! Instant subscriber!
This is very interesting. I so want to explore my Irish roots. Hope you find the answers you are searching for Jo! 🎉 bon voyage 🛫 ✨️
I'm 31 and I cannot see myself having children in the foreseeable future. Growing up I've always had dreams of someday being a mother, I didn't want to have kids until I found a mature enough partner and I thought that my 30s would be the perfect time to start a family. But after all of the heartbreaks from failed relationships, immature men, all of my career fumbles and disappointments, I don't know if I will ever feel secure enough to have children. Maybe I will have one in my late 30s but only one. I wish that women were able to give birth into their late 40s. If that were the case I would not worry but that's not how the world works. Men can have children at any age but women have such a small window of time. It feels really unfair.
Is it bad that every week my inner voices says to skip college….
RIP Bing Bong! To the MOON!
Stop being a liberal and you’ll fix that problem
My girl is just over 2 and is finally sleeping better 😌 just got her through teething and off the boob. She also has more energy than your usual toddler. My husband and i both agree on one child. Also so expensive.
Same situation, One & Done😊
Omg I’m very financially savvy and I grossly underestimated the cost of raising a child. Definitely a huge consideration!
No probs getting preagnant! Totally normal birth. We could afford one. She gets 4 years college paid for now Grad School. Plus an IRA started for her an a down payment on a house when she needs it. I'm good. Never regretful. We will move close to where she goes. She is my favorite. People that guilt you for not having two are ridiculous. She was an easy baby. Great kid even til now. She's 21. So proud of her. She has no regrets having no siblings. She gets everything when we pass. Love her.
Awesome job! People too often fail to consider the rising cost of college. Settling your child up for financial success is an incredible gift. We plan to have one for the same reasons, and to be able to offer childcare and financial support if they want a kids. We are starting our family so late because we wanted to be financially stable first. I’d love to remove that pressure from my kid. Give them a safety net to take wise risks and consider earlier parenthood if they’d like. Also, having sufficient means to navigate potential medical costs with minimal stress in the US is hard.
Ahhh brilliant!
That’s a great point!!
Definitely doing it by myself like you 😂
Thank you for making this video. I hate the pressure society puts on us to have multiple kids
Thank you for this convo. It has been very annoying to me that people have made comments to me about only having one child and say that i have to have another that I can’t have JUST one and needs a sibling. It’s so rude to presume that every single person needs to have more than one kid just bc you think it will make the kid better off to have a sibling. The amount of people I know, including myself who have a sibling they have no relationship with is astounding. Also, I struggled with health issues that prevented me from having the energy needed for another child. I had to focus on getting well for the child I do have. People don’t stop to consider what someone might be going through and more than one kid is just not doable for everyone. My son is 5 and thriving without a sibling. I was struggling with the pressure of thinking he needed a sibling for a while but recently it’s hit me that it wouldn’t be worth it to give my son a sibling if it’s at the expense of me and will take away from the quality of life I give him now.
I'm Team One && Done! As A Single Mother Living With Family, My Parents Act Like It's A Cardinal Sin For Me To Get The Slightest Break From My Son. I'm Dying To Move Out On My Own && For My Son To Get Older (He'll Be 5 Soon) So That I Can Reclaim Some Independence - Not To Mention Take Some Stress/Pressure Off Of Me.
Is it selfish of me to be one and done even though i had no issues with fertility and also did not have a traumatic birth? I did have a horrible time with breastfeeding and never did it successfully. One common theme i see with many one and done moms is that they had issues getting pregnant or had a traumatic birth. Is it okay that i just dont want any more kids?
It's totally fine! It's your choice and everyone has their own reasons.
It's never selfish to not have kids! Whether you have none, one, or 12, it's never selfish to Not have one/more
Totally ❤
YES 😊 you do not need to justify your choices to others
I had a good pregnancy and a super easy and amazing birth, breastfeeding was more painful than the birth or recovery for me, and I don't want more kids either! I commented on this video some of my thoughts about it! I think there are reasons it is selfish to have any amount of kids and it's good to be a little selfish you gotta take care of yourself! Love my baby and want all my mom power for her🩷
My favorite thing about being one-and-done is that there's more me leftover. More mental health, more energy, more time/focus, more me-time, etc, etc. I can give my all to my kid, and still have some of myself leftover. And, I love that I get to have a favorite, guilt-free 😂
I have a 6 month old son and am one and done for all these reasons. I've always known I only wanted one child and my opinion has not changed since having my son. My relationship and finances and mental health and so many aspects of my life would be put under strain if we had another and it's not worth it. I want to be able to give my all to my family and still have some energy left in me to live my own life too.
@@kirsty2861 Congrats on your baby!

Also I hate when people say my daughter will be spoiled. Ofcourse she will be. I think it’s so important to spoil a girl because every woman is truly not spoiled. Every woman will experience sexism, objectification and misogyny. I’ve known so many spoiled girls and they are doing great in life. They know and respect their boundaries and go for whatever they want in life.

I guess it's pretty hard to be a mom when you can't stop staring at your navel.
I used to be a newborn photographer. I both loved and hated that job. Babies tho, original squish mallows. And my equipment was stored in the NICU because it had a biometric hand scanner. So I got to quietly walk around and just send some good vibes to the babies. You observe a lot as a photographer in a hospital
Thank you for sharing this

My grandparents used to do the same thing but with these really big space heaters they had (their house didn’t have a fireplace). I know rationally they did nothing but it always “helped” in a way. My grandad passed a couple years ago and my grandma saw me get sick over the following winter and gave me his big old space heater. Think of him every time I see it (:
My son will be 10 this year and I'll be 32 this year. I refuse to have another kid. I've been one and done since I was pregnant.
