I agree with everything you are pointing out minus the part where a multi billion dollar company cant find a solution to a problem that has existed since they started the sponsored search results and advertising on their platforms. I would be sympathetic if it was a new thing but its not even remotely new.
There was a time when paypal also had a redirect website that looked exactly like paypal. They used Cyrillic characters. Just memorise the IP of the sites you frequent like important phone numbers and type that in when needed.

Not surprising they have a fake game that claims to payout real money that one of my higher functioning clients started obsessing over thinking he'd get rich from it took 2 weeks and me calling the number associated with the app to get him to stop. When you call the number its a message admitting the game is a fake google was notified about and its still up in the playstore after 6 months. It all generates traffic for them so why would they stop it?
I ran into this problem too and not just for Facebook. Turns out anyone can purchase ad space on their browser search results. Notice how you need to scroll down 3 or 4 links to find a non-sponsored web link.

It's sponsored. You know how that works, right? They pay to be the first. There's no rile against it.
There's a rule against being misleading in ads and this exploit is against their terms of service.

thats why i never click on a sponsored result when looking for what im trying to get to, alot of sponsored redirects have keyloggers in them somewhere
