SpeedyEric1 Absolutely, dude. I would also argue he's an atheist in the "mythological sense". Because even if there are characters in the DC universe that might as well be "gods", Batman knows better to not worship, not follow blindly, yet to always remain skeptical and rely on evidence (even for the supernatural). Atheism/non-believers in mythologies are not the same thing as their real life counterparts for obvious reasons(I'm an atheist, for one, duh) . A similar character is Kratos from God of War. Kratos and Batman both had to learn the hard way of not relying on faith, that gods are deceitful, false hopes, selfish, prone to cause destruction, yet always have a weakness no matter how powerful so-called gods are. It's a discussion to have, and I do hope the topic of atheists/nonbelievers in fiction gets explored more.

Speaking as a christian who believes in God, I'm actually impress with your view of being an atheist, as well as bringing up atheist material from fiction and mythology. I already take you more seriously than fictional atheist from crappy christian faith films like God's Not Dead and Let There Be Light, where in each film, Kevin Sorbo of Hercules fame plays a jackass who became an atheist because he hates God for letting a loved one of his die, and he forced people around him to also become atheist. No offense, BTW.

Haha yeah upon further review I could probably beat some of these times if I went back. I had some initial goals, like getting them all below 2 min I think, and then planned to go back later to see if I could improve on them. Even watching this one now it seems like I wasted a lot of time between take downs. With this particular run, I can't remember if that was a hesitation or a planned delay. Sometimes it's not really about taking a guy out, it's about setting up the next guy. If I take that first guy out sooner, then the other guys are in different positions when I go to get the next guy. Like I would have had to wait for that 2nd guy to clear the boxes, although it looks like he was plenty clear by the time I aimed at him. The other thing is, a few seconds after you take someone down, the Riddler alerts the other guys and they come running. If I take the 1st guy down sooner they behave differently and end up taking different routes. Sometimes they do anyway, and if they don't go where you want them then things can really get messed up. Most likely it was a hesitation though because I do remember the the Nightwing darts/aim giving me problems lol. You can't miss or you have to start over, which can get annoying. I'm sure you're aware of how many times you end up starting over on these runs xD. In fact that's why I started compiling blooper reels haha. Wanted to do something with all that wasted footage, plus it made failed runs less frustrating because I'd just think to myself, "oooo that'll be a good one for the bloopers" lol. Sadly I never got around to producing more blooper videos.

Most definitely. Seems like sometimes all you can hope for is an approximation of how you want things to go and then you're scrambling to make the rest work. I have a couple of videos done myself on my other channel and we aren't going to discuss how many takes I went through to make them look that good, lol. If you were to go look at them (Orions Hope), you'll notice the upload dates are very recent. I hesitated doing them at all because it has been so long since the games came out and even many of the more popular videos only have a couple hundred views on them. However, I have had the darnedest time finding quality videos of players using a mouse and keyboard and that is what finally drove me to do my own. Either the frame rate sucks, the player has a poor and or hesitant pattern, or they play using a controller and only one or two here and there are worth shooting. The worst part for me is the pattern that works on a console often doesn't work worth a damn on PC and so are only good for maybe the first one or two takedowns before the pattern goes to hell and you're on your own anyway. If I use someone's pattern for the most part and I post a video of it, I make sure they get credit but out of the 5 or six clips I've done, only one needed citation. The rest I invented on my own. I also make sure to state in the description that I use mouse and KB and use those words in the keywords box to help anyone else who is looking for the same thing I have been trying to find. As for Nightwing's darts, I feel you there too. I'm trying to close out the Riddler challenges with modifiers and had to run the one without several times in order to get better at a quick aim so as to not ruin the challenge and not getting three coins. My real struggle seems to be the Silent Takedown for this challenge. Dunno what I'm doing wrong but I cannot seem to get the prompt to come up reliably to save my life, even when the thug is obviously in the right spot. I'm sure I can chop the better part of 30 seconds off of my own score if I can only figure out that problem. I don't suppose you have any tips on that.

Haha yeah I didn't like watching the runs other people were doing until after I had given up trying to figure out a good run on my own, or even after I thought I had a good run. I'd try to give credit if I copied anyone, but like you said, most videos are from console users so it was difficult to replicate their technique anyway. I don't have a console so I can't speak to the differences other than yeah I noticed how I couldn't get some of the henchmen to respond the same way, and some of the combos or moves they pulled off seemed impossible. I can't remember what it was now, but someone pulled off a move that was impossible on PC, they used a particular gadget a certain way while moving I think. But yeah I'd try to figure out a good strategy on my own first. Then I'd watch videos and go, ahhh that is much better lol. Sometimes you get so fixated on a technique that you don't try anything else. The Nightwing darts probably comes down to my mouse, it isn't all that great or smooth haha. I have problems in other games because of it too. I'll take a look at your video, but I haven't played the game in awhile so I don't remember having any problems with silent takedowns with Nightwing. Just his stupid Escrima Sticks on the triple ricochet.

I did it! I got 1:31.5 on this map and uploaded the video. My best time was 1:18 but I wasn't recording at the time (face palm) It's all good though cuz my first AC video is now in the books :)

@@RandomBeing101 Number one: I'm aware of what Tom King said(that's not how he reads it) but since you want to be a smartass, allow me to correct you. In said comic, Bruce Wayne says he didn't believe in his father's god and likened the symbol of Batman to being his god. However, given the mistake he made with Mr. Freeze, he had lost faith in that. Therefore, Batman's character is functionally atheist, just not in the traditional sense. Dare to Know.

Hell, Buddhists and Taoists are nontheistic. Dude, all King said is that its not his interpretation but it wasn't important anyway. I don't know why you're so upset about this. Actually I took out the jammer guy with the sonic batarang just before I used the REC on a normal guy (the guy I eventually freeze). That guy always responds too quickly before I can puncture the fire extinguisher so using the REC buys me a little extra time. Then taking their weapons with the claw is a fun little trick, it not takes their weapon away, but it pulls them closer too, and makes them take a swing which allows you to quickly take them out with a counter. Definitely a time savor on armored guards.

Haha yeah I love doing counters on predator matches. I love that kick to the head at the end xD.
