I am familiar with the situation when there is not enough time to be a part of the community and at the same time work on improvements for your own pleasure. If it had gone on like this, it would probably have become more of a job for you than a hobby.

Not from starscape but I just wanted to say thank you as I used to play apocalypse rising as a kid and it was one of the best and most memorable games I have played…. I’m 24 now and I used to play back when I was 12… doubled my age and the memories I made will never be forgotten

solo content is great but the current core gameplay loop relies on faction content since factions are constantly adding content for your playerbase. Keeping em alive is essential to the game being lively. Thats why funneling solo players into factions or at minimum having them aware of factions, (Why player ads can be good if done right) is so important. I honestly think as a solo player no matter the content there is only so much you can do alone. Even the PVP, (a core gameplay loop which by the way somewhat relies on the worth of assets) is not very solo friendly in a lot of circumstances. Factions give motives to players to grind, build up fleets and battle it out over conflict of ideology. The greater factions go very in depth, using spy accounts to leak enemy faction events, where they set up at bordering systems of the rally point for raiding. Furthermore the anti-spy measures then become extensive for Factions. The beef becomes so much sometimes people even get doxxed and have smear campaigns placed on them. Though that is extreme, it should show the pure activity conflict can bring to a game. I believe what Starscape needs more than anything is reasons for Factions to fight each other. Not just FW, but they need to be fighting over highly worthwhile objectives. Player stations could have caused this, as people would of used them to claim territory. News outlets would likely have made maps of such territories and those Factions would fight each other on those territories. However I understand it is likely not very realistic due to performance issues. Considering multiple stations would likely be built in certain systems, and people would rally there in large numbers. However Faction territory, and perhaps even rare resource deposits in such places, would bring huge wars to Starscape and activity also.
