Round Table
Join Michael, Chris and Dillon as they walk through a listener question round table:
• Can you help find the apparent Scriptural quote from Ephesians 5:14?
• What is a biblical covenant and how does it apply to us?
• What is the purpose of anointing oil?
• When COVID 2.0 arrives, should you leave your church if they decide to "meet" online only?

Just so you know, at about 33:00, you guys are picking up someone clearing their throat twice. I dont know what's causing that, but it doesn't look like it's Michael.

ruclips.net/video/NbA7Ro-bZtI/видео.htmlsi=Dfl3rdevvsGaIYtm Here's another video showing that the harmonization of the two accounts in Genesis is dogmatic. He explains in depth how it is not the pluperfect form, and he gives examples from the text of when the pluperfect is used, so that you can see the difference. Could you please explain your interpretation of the verses?
Here is the same ex-pastor discussing absurdities in the Genesis flood myth. ruclips.net/video/Rq0w1yIQ8Qk/видео.htmlsi=Sdbdg9D_Do4zp9eU
If you are looking for knowledgeable critiques of Christian dogma, here is another resource in which an ex-pastor deconstructs Genesis 2 and 3. He discusses some of the absurdities and inconsistencies in the creation account. ruclips.net/video/RIWQQaHS3FM/видео.htmlsi=gB6zK437Do88r2w7
Here is a short clip of a scholar discussing the contradictions found in the two accounts from Genesis 1 and Genesis 2. Could you do a future episode with your rebuttal of his comments from an academic point of view. Could you cite sources and evidence as McClellan does? He shows the apologetic attempt to harmonize Genesis to be hermeneutical gymnastics. McClellan also shows that this interpretation of the pluperfect is inconsistent with any of the evidence that we have. He then states that a dogmatic commitment would be the likely reason to harmonize Genesis in this way. ruclips.net/video/wSvAJhrTjqs/видео.htmlsi=lcg_iemKxJ8TCkhY
Test
If you approach the Bible from a hermeneutic of submission, how do you first determine that the Bible is the infallible word of God? The empirical evidence shows that the Bible is fallible. How do you reconcile the empirical evidence with your revelational epistemology?
Where's all the conversation at? Good grief.
What happened to all our conversation?
Whaaaaat?!
You seem to present and act like the two contradictory tales in Genesis do not exist and is a settled issue. Would you be open to a public discussion of this topic with someone more expert than myself?
America-once blessed-is now becoming accursed…without repentance: Is America still “one nation, under God?” Not anymore. God longs for His people to love, serve, and obey Him; He wants us to have a relationship with Him and to give Him honor, praise, and glory in all things. Instead, they fight against everything that He stands for. America, once a God-fearing nation, is falling further away from Him. Instead of glorifying God, man goes against Him, fighting for abortions, gay rights, and other laws that are completely against HIS laws. If this continues, America will be no more. When the floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters come about from God’s breath-it will be no surprise that the prosperity that was once a blessing will become a curse (Malachi 2:2). God will not stand for disobedience; repent, before it is too late.
I have been locked out of the previous thread. This thread is being curated. Any comments that the curator does not want to acknowledge are being deleted regardless of if they're offensive or not. Here is an example of one of the comments that keeps getting deleted:@michaeldirrim2361 That's a lot of flowery language and philosophical terms that disguises the fact that your epistemology is evidence-free. In revelational epistemology, how do you know when you are wrong? Must it be revealed to you? How is it revealed? How do you know you're not receiving this revelation in error? How do you know it's not self-delusion? What do you do when it contradicts all the physical evidence? Also, you referenced "Christian realism" as epistemology. All the literature that I can find references this to be a political philosophy. Could you please provide some references or links explaining how it is relative to epistemology?

I think we should be able to agree on the fact that Ken Hamm is a clown. I would investigate people before I give them any stamp of approval. Good luck pilgrims.
Thanks for the listen and the reply, “J”. Ken Hamm would own the title “clown” ever as much as Paul would take the title of “fool.” 1 Corinthians 1:18-31.
@@michaeldirrim2361 I think you value your integrity, and hitching that integrity to Ken Hamm is a mistake. I would highly encourage you to research him as both a man, and a supposed scholar.
@@chuckyfarley9465 vague intimations are the bastion of gossip. Please list specific claims if integrity is at stake.
Thank you. One of my friends goes to a prayer meeting once a week where people speak in tongues she can’t understand but finds very soothing. You’ve given me scripture to share with her along with great, Biblical, discussion. God bless your ministry.
We’re glad you found this helpful. God bless you as well.

Very informative. I agree completely. Keep up the great work!
Just to let you all know, the audio is cutting out on Wed(tonight) service. Not as bad as Sun night, but enough to disrupt understanding.
True , about audio, very disappointing.
The audio cuts out several times. Just want to make sure you guys know.
Great message. So much has already been fulfilled! Praise God! Thank you for that.
I just learned of his passing. He was my mentor. I was ordained under his leadership at Amity Baptist in El Reno
Can a Calvinist please help me out with a couple of questions in regard to Calvinism please: 1. Does God allow anyone to accept Christ or are we chosen from before birth whether we are saved or damned? 2. Does God love everyone (salvation love)? 3. Was John Calvin instrumental in killing a person(s)? 4. Can a person go to heaven if he/she disagrees with all 5 points of TULIP? Thank you and please make the answers short and to the point.
1. John 6, 10 and Romans 9 indicate that God’s choice to save is both prior to and independent from the sinner’s response to the Gospel. 2. God loves all His creatures and has a specific kind of saving love for all men without distinction (not without exception) 1 John 2, Revelation 5 & 7. 3. John Calvin was instrumental in many attempts to keep heretics from execution. 4. Most folks in Heaven never have even heard of TULIP.
Here is a cartoon illustrating the many problems of biblical inerrancy. ruclips.net/video/z8j3HvmgpYc/видео.htmlsi=KBw8G31jOGQz-ymN
Would you care to discuss in clear prose just one of these claims?
@@michaeldirrim2361 absolutely. Could you provide me with a clear concise definition for biblical inerrancy?
Easier said than done, trying to devise a definition that the Bible does not violate. How about the Google definition:inerrancy means the quality of being exempt from error or infallible. It's often used in a religious context to describe the Bible, Christian religious writing, or the word of God. The belief that the Bible is inerrant is called biblical inerrancy. This belief is that the Bible is without error in all of its teachings, or that the original manuscripts of the Bible do not contain anything that contradicts fact.
Does it take a month to come up with a definition?
2 months and counting. Did you devise a definition yet?
Those mics are really good. I can hear all the parts of the choir. I can even hear my voice crack at one point.
I'm pretty sure that seed is used as a plural in the bibke multiple times. Is there a reason the pastor asserted "seed" singular. Not that i disagree given the context just curious if its something to do with the greek. Great message!
