This company is cutthroat like a boot camp. I was with them 6 months in Sacramento in 2022. Pay can be decent and if you can’t fight with other workers for forklifts on the dock AFTER a full shift of linehaul driving overnight.
You May 3 to 4000 on the day shift or the overnight shift?
@@kasibsworld5801 $1500- $1800 gross a week
@kasibsworld5801 go saia or Dayton freight If you can. Better quality of life.
If you don't mind can you tell me to pay after Taxes
Did you say 1 to 2 to 3000 a week take home
How’s the insurance how much do u pay for a family?
What is the pay like
@johnnymyers20 some terminals/states make more than others. At mines i work 14 hours a day, 5 days a week, for $1500-$1800 gross. Ain't the best but good to get your experience up. Not straight driving. Doing manual labor as well (dock work)
Nice i moved to a different ltl carrier and they harrased me and called/ text me non stop to come back, desperate company horrible management. Most drivers there are cool
Worth it? If you have a year experience?
Y so sad
Cause he worked for central transport
What is the daily routine for the city drivers? they just do local delivery stops?
3k to 4k a week after taxes lol that's hars to believe but I'm sure you was making 1k a week gross , after taxes you were taking home what $ 800 for 14hr shifts?! Thats good man this company should be under investigation
@RomanEmpire16 $1800 gross $1400 take home a week. My bad man I probably said 3k by accident. Yeah they will be eventually lol.
Congratulations on your return to the military! I pray for your success Sir! You are so through in your explanation of CT! Thank you for your service as well!🫡
Great video! They reached out to me in Dallas.
Also I was doing my YT research 😂 and luckily I saw your video which answered exactly all of my questions about this company. I’ve been out here for 4 months gaining my experience.😏Keep the videos coming.
I’m bout to apply for the Fort Worth location
Do they still.offer the dock tondriver program
is this in colorado?
That was in indiana
Is this a good company to work for? I just got hired and start training this Monday as a day driver. Starting at $32.50/HR, I’m just not sure about the whole LTL thing never done it, I just been an OTR driver for a few months.
How you liking it so far ? Just applied to the Colton, Ca location. They’re starting off at $31/ hour
@movalautodetailing2543 did you get hired !? I applied when u did st the same terminal .. I start this Monday!
@@iam_zeus875 I been looking at the terminals out of the IE and city of industry most of em say tankers n hazmat endorsements do you think they’ll hire me if I get my endorsements within those 90 days
@@iam_zeus875 what’s up man, i didn’t get hired. How was your first day?
@@iam_zeus875 how long did the background take for you? It’s been a week for me I haven’t got a call yet…
Central is the worse place to work . The trucks are always broken and the managers are all stupid
Thought you had to have at least a year of experience to get on with them.
That's how majority of local companies are, but if they're really hurting for, people they'll take their chances on a rookie now. People are always coming and going with these touch freight companies. Ltl and food service.
They wanted to hire me straight out of school
Yea, they can't do that, their very desperate for drivers
Thank you bro. Just put my app in with CT. Best thing on the table right now in my area. I bought a house an hour 30 from my current jobs nearest plant. Need to cut that commute in half at least. If you're looking for a new gig readymix is pretty sick. Enjoy the army though bro. Appreciate the video. Got me fired up.
They pay really good at some terminals, some terminals that have low cost of living area paid more than my area. $2k gross a week. It is what it is though. Good luck at the job. Some people I met kept central as a career, I looked at it as a stepping stone at first. It's upto you to decide what's best for you and your family. Good luck. I hope the vid helped
What do they make u do for dock work
What were you able to take home normally each week I heard you say 3k-4k? Just wanted to be sure I heard right.
I've got a phone interview with them soon and they're claiming $26 an hour at 45-55 hours a week and man that doesn't quite sound like a 3k gross weekly check. Lol
@@CompPerformanceFreak same just had my phone Interview today
@RadiantThoughts_ Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about it. I want to go back local but it would be a 45 minute drive to work everyday in a low mpg pickup truck. Right now I gross 1850/week regional, sunday-thursday. Friday Saturday off. On a dedicated no touch freight and quarterly bonuses of about 1900 every 3 months. I feel like this job is going to hurt me financially way too much.
Hell nah he lying unless he’s saying bi weekly. Doubtful anyone would walk away from 12-16k a month
$1,500-$1,800 gross at my terminal a week. I wish I made $3k a week lol. Idk though, I'd get taxed like a mf if I did though so pros and cons.
where is your terminal located?
Used to be Louisville Kentucky.
You said, you mostly ran your whole clock every day to 14 hours. What was your gross at 70 hours per week? Thanks!!
$1800. My friend switched to dayshift at a different terminal after I left and is grossing $2100. It really depends on your terminal
Curious how many miles was your run ? And how much did it pay ?
I only do around 60hrs and my gross is 2300
@@youngreaperman at CT ??
@HeyArnoldGotAFootballHead yes it really depends on the run you get and how many hrs u get put in I work around 13-14 hrs daily
Don't get too comfortable because they have a reputation of packing up in the middle of the night and close the terminal. Just bank your money.
I wouldn't blame em with how understaffed some of their terminals are atm. I'm no longer working for em anymore though.
Man you talk like you have brain damage
lol they make you work your 14 hour clock which is trash …. Get some dock workers
Do they withhold 3 weeks of pay? Or what ?
They told me to go for an interview, when i get there they say my application has been rejected lol Then i arrive home and i get another message to go for an interview. I call to figure out whats going on and they say it was probably an automated message and that they dont have to give us a reason as to why reject. I have all my endorsements, clean license, but no experience.
Facts lol they rejected me to…clean mvr,8 years n say they can’t tell me the reason lol but they trash n pay the lowest in LTL…now im at southeastern
Overtime after 8 work union only. Payed medical dental vision. Last but not least, pension plan.
They hiring recent grads rn
Line Haul drivers where I used run LTL, just drive the freight terminal to Terminal, no touch freight.
How much is the pay per week
Are you a city driver???
I start with them Monday in Atlanta. You get paid direct deposit right?
What type of drug test did they do ?
@@donn3166i missed this but urine and hair at the 2700 location . it’s smooth honestly just not feeling the speed of the trucks for linehaul…should be better than what it is.
The one in macon ga says dock work involved. I said no thx
Yeah dock work ain't no fun. I hated it too. And it's open bay terminals.
You in Columbus or Dayton
So is line haul going to another state terminal and back to home terminal??
Yes or same state maybe 150-250 miles and back
i done both i hated local long ass hours 12 to 14 hours and they micro manage you like crazy, office politics, deal with more ass hole people at pick ups, traffic all day in the city, you get home and bearly have time to eat because you worked a 12 hour day and physically and mentally exhausted to do anything else, rinse and repeat the next day, you burn out fast like that
Can I work at this company with no experience
What’s the pay
What state are you in? I’m interested in driving local.
Thanks
They didn’t hire me cause I have 2 points on my license from like 5 years ago. Before I got my CDL. It’s crazy but yet sysco hired me. And I hate sysco
Points should fall off after 3 years I think?
Yeah that's crazy. Usually from what people say is that central is like the swift of ltl, meaning they hire new guys like us lol.
Bro why does it look like your holding in a massive shit or your about to cry? 😂
Did you guys finnaly get direct deposit 😂😂
Yeah I was getting direct deposit there the whole time. Thank goodness I didn't work there before they started doing that lol, would've been a hassle.
What better line haul or local for new driver good video
I’d say linehaul to get good road experience but I wouldn’t recommend central they are the worst when it comes to LTL but they will hire anyone though
Will they let new drivers do line haul I have all indoursements what the yearly pay good video
Yeah they hired me brand new out of cdl school. How much you get paid depends on your terminal. Some get paid more than others. My terminal i was making like $80k a year, others pay less or more.
I’m waiting on my interview now I’m excited
Good luck, and best of luck to your trucking career.
How did it go
@@Breezyplaywithsticks I ended up getting hired at XPO logistics and drive the double trailers shit rocks yo
Thanks for the information. I appreciate your time and effort into making this. I have an interview with them in a couple of days so I wanted to do some quick research, Thanks.
Aye no problem. I'm glad to help. Hopefully the vid gave enough information with your research. I tried not to sugarcoat it, just the real truth about them.
Just applied out of Atlanta
@DBreedTV How you liking it?
@@AlexMartinez-bw9dm I haven’t gotten a call back after applying I have a interview with xpo tomorrow praying I can get in there
I worked as a casual for Central years ago, for maybe a year and a half, before i moved away ,for another opportunity, the terminal only had, maybe 12 drivers...they were all very good people, managers and office staff were great too....enjoyed working there, the terminal ended up being consolidated with another terminal
Yeah some terminals got decent staff, some idk sometimes lol. They back and forth.
