Been getting back into MTG lately and realized i only have the time and storage space to play online rather than paper. I liked playing standard and alchemy for a bit but i realized i'm having more fun constructing brawl decks with my limited collection. I dont mind spending a bit for the mastery pass and such but i imagine i'll be relatively free to play on arena. any recommendation on how i should go about filling up my collection? should i prioritize wildcards on brawl staple cards and how should i use my coins if my only interest is brawl. thanks for the advice and i've been catching your streams when i can. thanks for the content

Kozilek the great distortion is the only legendary colorless eldrazi other than ulalek(the made for commander one) that is playable as your commander in EDH. He has been at the top of my colorless deck for since he came out in oath of the gatewatch, which should tell you how good he is.

Historic pauper is great. I miss it already.

Wizards is hot trash and making a decent search function. I usually look up every card not in a main set when one drops. ie: Commander product, jumpstart ect ect

There is 1 artifact,mana cost 1 preventing oppo from cascade. I played against an opponent who used that artifact and still manage to win.

Isn't Tormod's Crypt and it's like basically Mox Amber? They both need a living commander to function since the only other legendary before 7 is Ragavan.

As a slimy Poq player myself, i respect when people beat it down.

I don't think you should be surprised about people putting a bunch of "can't be countered" spells since there are soooooo many blue decks nowdays that only rely on counterspells to win.

Re: Archmage Charm trying to steal an Elf while a mutate trigger is on the stack: Mutate stipulates that it's cast as an alternative cost, and has to target a non-human with the same owner as the mutate spell. So, since the same owner owns it, I think you get the mutated elf.

Since I see it in this deck I figured I'd ask: Does Urborg help with Cabal Stronghold? I was running it in my K'rrik deck since I thought it'd let my non-basics work with the Stronghold, but it didn't seem to and on closer reading on Stronghold says it taps for every basic swamp you control not every swamp you control. I figured I'd cut it then since that meant all it was really doing was fixing my opponent's black mana, but wanted to make sure I was understanding that right. As it stood the only thing it was doing was providing a small buff to my Consuming Corruption.

Ovika is a good commander if one wants to do the mana rock build, doesn’t double spells ofc but you can usually close with goblins on the first extra turn
