Hi Diesel, its a bit like asking me how long a piece of string is but for the sake of our international customers. Kits start at around 30k USD for Explorer and around 36K for a standard Safari. The Safari XL is a bit more expensive as it has the new STL wing which comes with carbon leading edges and wing tips as well as larger tanks. That price will include a FW fwd kit of the average engine choices. Some will be cheaper and some more expensive. For flying aircraft it will depend on whether it is new or used and anything in-between. They can range from 30kusd for an old Bushbaby or 120k-150k usd for a new Safari with a Rotax 916iS (160hp). The kits are quite complete but you will have to buy some items. User choosable items are not included so these will be items like your final paint colour, upholstery, wiring, lights, avionics, engine and propeller. For a more exact quote it will be better to complete the contact form on our website and I will have a quote sent to you. RSA residents will qualify for a local price.

We will be at Oshkosh 2023. Booth 919 and 920 at the Ultralight field.

It is a lot of fun to fly. Cruise speed depends on engine and prop but fully loaded I plan on 85kts although I mostly do over 90 in my plane. Its fitted with a KFA 912 ULS-ST (135hp) engine. Fuel burn at 22-23 L/hr so that gives me 4,5 to 5 hrs with a little bit of reserve.

We will get there eventually. Many exciting things coming in 2023.

Thank you for your comment. We are still working on the factory build LSA for the USA. For now we are concentrating on Oshkosh 2023 and have just shipped a container with 3 planes to our North American distributor to complete for the show. At the moment the experimental market is our largest market so we mostly concentrated on that sector for NA. These are exiting times for KFA as we are expanding capacity and improving performance and quality. Watch this space.

@ClearedAsFiled Yes we do. The best is to contact us via our website. We can then send you a quote. Our new company KFA Adventure Gear will be operating from early next year. That company will concentrate on all KFA accessories, camping and adventure gear and some other exciting developments we are busy with. Items will be available via an online store platform.

It could be because I didn't post regularly the last 6 months. We still have some awesome flying to come so that will change. The real Namibia will only begin in the next section of our trip....

Thanks, we are working on a plan. Shipping the first 4 Quick Build Safari XL's in a week to be ready for Oshkosh and the next 6 are already in production. The Explorer UL-600 will be available as a SLSA we hope soon. Also working on that, They are already approved as German factory build UL aircraft.

We can meet at Oshkosh 2023. If all goes well we will have 5 planes there. The first 4 are being shipped in two weeks. 4 x Safari with 915's and one Explorer which is already there.
