When i think of the Normandy landings, i think about wooden aircraft carriers with dragon heads carved in the tips of the hull, and on the flight deck, tamed armored dragons chilling and doing their dragons-in-chains dragon stuff until unchained, then mounted by bearded raiders with steel swords.
