On this channel, we spotlight the personal narratives of individuals actively recovering from PTSD, offering you an intimate look at a variety of therapies through the eyes of those experiencing them. We craft a safe space where individuals with PTSD can share their personal journeys to recovery. We invite you to subscribe and explore the world of innovative therapies tackling a condition that affects about 1 in 10 people. Although it might not seem apparent, I too navigate the challenges of PTSD, a story I've shared in a two-part series on this channel. Book Recommendation: "The Body Keeps the score" by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk
The book presents a comprehensive exploration of the effects of trauma on the mind and body, drawing on the author's extensive experience as a psychiatrist who has dedicated over thirty years to working with individuals who have experienced trauma. This is a seminal book on trauma and should be recommended reading for trauma patients and their caregivers.
