    Loma and Tank are both slow starters. They both start opening up and increasing their workrate going into the middle rounds. The problem in that scenario is that Loma is an accumulation puncher and Tank is a one punch finisher who does best when his opponent is opening up. It gives him more opportunities to counter. Also, Loma has a tendency to fade going into the final rounds. Tank doesn't. He actually gets stronger all the way through the 12th. High probability that Loma gets stopped in this one - somewhere between rounds 10-12.

      I've just watched this again.....the only thing I didn't explain was when jack johnson beat tommy burns (I said tommy ryan). The reason why I didn't know that part in history is because at the time I made the video I was studying Jack Johnsons early career. I literally explained exactly how the term great white hope came about with enough relevant information that was all facts and made the video short enough to consume. You could make a video 300 hours long in regards to boxing history, its just stupid to say I "whitewashed" it, I was compacting it down to get to the point.....there's something called viewer retention, but you wouldn't know about that would you? Maybe you make a video explaining everything and show the world how it should be done....fool 😂

He came back great for cowboy but during porier fights and everhthjng after Eddie I think he never was fully sober again after Eddie more then a few months out of fight camp. @Themozartthug 7 дней назад

      @imperator3649 100% an argument for that. Having that last fight as a loss, and also it being so historic, it tainted his legacy. Jefferies was a special fighter. I still say he was really the first world gloved champ. The reason I say this is because he fought everyone in the division. Corbett beat a old sullivan (not discrediting the win, he had been out the ring for 4 years), fitz beat corbett in his second title defense and jefferies beat them both. The reason I say this is because corbett and fitz didn't defend the title enough. Fitz was world champ at middleweight so il take it back some....corbett didn't defend enough to warrant being a real champ. Jefferies fought everyone in a very short space of time, when he won he said he would fight anyone and he did.....no the caveat None of them should be considered the world champ as none of them fought the best of their era.....the black fights from the coloured belt line. None of them, as much as I love jefferies, shouldn't be considered world champ....but we are getting into social settings now and what the culture was Luke ect, they shouldn't be held accountable fully because it was just culture. I suppose my point is they all deserved it but didn't.....jefferies could have gone down as top 10 greatest if he had fought and beat Johnson in 1905.....he would have won, no question about that Maybe that his loss in 1910 was karma in a way

    How do you think a fight between prime James Jeffries and prime Jack Johnson would go? Jeff was a beast and at his best i can actually see him winning. Of course Johnson definitely wouldnt be easy and probably would outbox Jeff for most of the fight, but i dont believe he would knock him out as he did fat, post retirement Jeffries. What do you think?

    • @Themozartthug
      @Themozartthug 9 дней назад

      They both faught jack munroe. Jefferies in 1904 and johnson in 1905. Jefferies absolutely destroyed him in 2 rounds. Johnson went the distance in 6. So......1905 fight, if it happened, 100% jefferies. He was so strong, he was just too good. Everyone agreed at the time there was no man who could beat him. I think jefferies prime was 1900/1905, he beat fitz twice and corbett, he cleaned up the division and it's good to note that around 1903/1905 when johnson started calling him out, johnson was a massive draw. He was slowly becoming a draw but had long, quite boring bouts, were as it seems around that time jefferies was just on fire. I suppose my point is if they had faught in 1905, instead of jefferies drawing the colour line, he would have won, no doubt in my mind. I just think jefferies was a very special fighter. I dont know johnsons prime years as of yet because I'm only up to about 1906 in his career.....johnson was a different kind of fighter, a points fighter really. Well, in his early career it seems. He just seemed to be a fighter that gave what he needed to get the win and no more. It's definitely a subject I will explore once I have enough understanding of johnsons career Boxing history is fucking awsome isn't it hahaha (I love these kind of chats 👊)

      100%, it was only 10 years before when bare knuckle was still being practiced. I can't guarantee it, but I presume all the trainers/managers of the fighters going into 1900 were all old bare knuckle fighters. Obviously corbett beat sullivan in 1892 in the first gloved fight, but it was transitioning through the 1880s (I presume) Marquess of qweensbury was first introduced in the 1860s (off the top of my head?) But it just didn't catch on. I think the bare knuckle guys just didn't want to use gloves and stuck to "traditions" essentially. Eitherway, fitz, corbett, probably not so much jefferies.....but they would have had ties to bare knuckle guys. Also the 20 round fights and stuff were still from bare knuckle. 30/50 round fights were still fought in early 1900s Great historic fight

      @@Themozartthug I'm reading pugilistica currently (its a huge book with three volumes) I havent even gotten into nineteenth century boxing yet so im not very knowledgeable on the transitional period of 1860s to 1900s but i think Marquees of Queensberry rules was adapting quite fast as it didnt have reputation of being as brutal as bareknuckle fighting so it was way easier to be taught to fight with gloves on. Oh and great boxers of the period such as Billy Edwards, Mike Donovan, Larry Foley or even John L Sullivan himself fought more often with gloves

      @@Themozartthug Also theres a video of Billy Edwards sparring Mike Donovan on youtube. • @Themozartthug
      @Themozartthug 10 дней назад

      @imperator3649 yes, I'm not 100% around that time period. I didn't realise john l sulivan fought with gloves? (Apart from the corbett fight), I just presumed he was bare knuckle through and through. The funny thing was, when I started this road to Ali I was just going to study liston to understand how good ali was. Then I started trading the lineage back.....and back.....and back hahaha, untill I ended up with sulivan vs corbett, that's when I started the series. I had to stop somewhere! So before that fight, I'm not too sure about the bare knuckle history. Certainly the qweensbury rules helped bring money to the sport. I know bare knuckle was seen as "brutal" and "back street fighting" and fights were held in fields or on barges out at sea to avoid the police. The hortan act, kind of explained in this video, allowed for boxing to be held in regulated venues.....which ment they could controll the fights much better, sell tickets, promote openly ect, it brought a lot of money to the sport. (From memory) sharky vs corbett was massively fixed and that's why they abolished the act allowing fights to be held at venues. Basically stating that all the fights where fixed ect ect, it basically ment going back to the old days of fighting in fields and changing location on the day to avoid police interference. Obviously when the hortan act got abolished they some how carried on fighting in venues and stuff Good luck with the books, sounds like a great set!

    I am Chinese so naturally I support Zhang. Yes, he was knocked down by Joshua but that was many years ago in the Amateurs. I would love to see him fight Joshua again instead of Parker.

    You ain't wrong, I lived in the pitty zone for a while and then decided to stop talking crap and just start doing and I feel way better for it. Sometimes you need to decide to stop being in a crap mood and feeling sorry for yourself and start feeling disgusted in yourself and make a change. Doesn't work for everyone but it worked for me

    I had it 117-110, but the 115-112 is 100 percent conceivable. A 114-113 in favor of Usyk that one judge had could be believable as well, but that is being very generous to Fury. However, ANYONE that scored that 114-113 in favor of Fury is corrupt. Fury won 4-6, no doubt. THOSE 3 ROUNDS are the only rounds he won without question. I had Usyk winning 1, 2, 7, 8, (10-8) in 9, 10, 11. Rounds 3, 7, 10, and 12 were all close, so I can see that someone argues Fury won those 4 rounds. However, in those rounds, Usyk was the aggressor and landed the better shots, while Fury backed up the entire time and was hitting Usyk's gloves. I would've given each of those rounds to the fighter pushing forward and engaging, which was Usyk. Boxing is corrupt as hell, and has trash judges. Congrats to Usyk.

    I think, particularly women with autism are extremely sensitive to social ques and sometimes are more sensitive than the average woman when it comes to awareness of self and how people react to them. I think Im overly aware of how people perceive me and correct it

    I like Benavidez, I think he is the best at 168 and Morrell follow closely in that division. Benavidez smashed lemieux who is small and move up to 168. Plant a 168 who from the 160 with UD for DB, and Andrade come from the 154 via 160 to 168 who was too small for a guy like Benavidez. 168 to 175 not a lot of boxers who had success in the last 40 years. .Ward and RJJ only... The toughest transition in boxing is 168 to 175. Gvozdyk was a LHW in amateur and pro. He is bigger, stronger and better footwork with his pivot. He has the same KO ratio than Benavidez but in LHW. He gave the best opposition to Betterbiev and was better than Bivol. I picked and bet on Gvozdyk even his 2-3 years of inactivity. He fought 3 times since his return. He is slowing down a little. This time Benavidez will not bully Gvozdyk. Even Lonnie B who sparred Benavidez, Gvozdyk and Beterbiev, he fought also Kovalev, said DB is not strong. He picked Gvozdyk also. In addition he said, DB needs to make some adjustment like his head movement and must works on other things for winning this fight.... It will be a good fight. Pbrobably one of the best of the year.

    • @Themozartthug
      @Themozartthug Месяц назад

      Great insight pal, really nice input. I think DB has this, but it's no easy walk. Pure boxing will definitely work against DB, like i said, you dont wana fight his fight! I think moving up might actually helps DB, maybe he will need a few fights to settle into the weight, but it's clear from a young age he was always a heavy guy! Anyway, all speculation. What I do know is it will probably be DB hardest fight to date, or at least the one that puts him out of his comfort zone!!! 👊
