This was my go-to amp for over a decade. Used it DJ`ing as well as in the studio. Solid little thing.

nice i have a original Akai AA-1030 . out of all my receivers this one sounds the best.
Akai is very underrated - you really get quality and good vintage sound from Akai - have a nice weekend :)

Bought this beast in April of '75 as a teenager. Bells and whistles, but the sound was typical 1970's BJT's with lots of negative feedback. Now, I listen through kit built, Valve OTL's and have stopped searching for the next topology
If you are into valve sound then there is no turning back - but I really enjoy the seventies solid state gear :). Have a nice day.
As a 16 year-old, when I finally saved enough to start building my own system, I opted for the NIKKO 8085 receiver. It was an excellent choice at the time.

i've got one. it's ok. i prefer my sx3900. BUT the sx1010 does have the better phono stage.
The SX-3900 is also a great receiver :). I agree with the phono stage of the SX-1010.

Hej. Pæren her i venstre side lyser en smule svagere - den er ikke gået. Jeg har desværre ikke de rigtige specs på pærer, men prøv at finde service manualen på HiFIEngine.com - her burde det stå :)

I like seperates the best these days, the focus is not on bells and whistles but rather good circuit topology and massive power supplies that can really bring out the best dynamics from good speakers. thanks
