Mike Makes an Arduino-based Intervalometer (T2i/550D)
My DSLR doesn't have a native timelapse function, so I decided to design a simple device that uses the LCC110 digital relay to snap photos at a per-determined interval.

Mike Makes the NatureMate Personal EMU | Monitor your weather on the go!
Просмотров 1024 года назад
This is a personal project I decided to embark on for no reason, and is a neat little trinket to bring hiking or when going out on a picnic to monitor the temperature, your current altitude, and the humidity level. It is running on Arduino-based code which was flashed directly to an AtMega 328 to run by itself without all of the additional unnecessary Arduino hardware. The battery is a protecte...
Mike Makes a DIY Distortion Pedal
Просмотров 864 года назад
Cost for parts, 3D filament, and electricity was approximately $10-15. I only used spare parts I had at home, so most of the resistors had slightly different values. Not bad considering the MXR Distortion will retail for $75. My 3D printer is an Ender 3 with several mods. Material is Polaroid PLA. Mike Makes a Crude DIY Conductive Paste (Proof of Concept)

I'm far from the first person to mix a powder with a glue to make a hybrid material. However, I wanted to try to get away from spending money while also trying to improve one of my other projects. Making is an ongoing learning experience! Not sure how much (if any) effect this had on shielding the RF interference or if it was just circumstantial with how cables were sitting, but I know for sure...
Mike Makes a DIY Phaser Pedal

COVID quarantine's got me bored, so I guess it's time to make the phaser pedal I've always wanted to do. Cost for parts, 3D filament, and electricity was approximately $30-35. It could be a few dollars cheaper if you don't care about lead content. Not bad considering the MXR 90 will retail for $75-100. My 3D printer is an Ender 3 with several mods. Material is Polaroid PLA. Electrosmash MXR 90 ...

You can also make very fine powder by scraping the end of a pencil with a blade.

Add alcohol to make it more paint-able while also making it relatively quick to dry, i made one just like this with graphite rods from carbon zinc batteries, elmers glue, few drops of alcohol, it makes a slrurry with acrylic paint like consistency

Good tips! I’ve been thinking about doing a follow up on this so perhaps I’ll see if I can incorporate parts of your recipe.

Unfortunately not as there was an error in it and I had to solder a bunch of jumpers so I don’t have the file anymore. However, I this was only my second time doing this ever so with a bit of focus I’m sure you can do it too.
