Seems if you turn off the green power option and "kill" the power to the green power outlets it will stop, for me I just use a device on that outlet (i.e. my wireless charger,) after turning the switch back on and the noise stops after a few minutes. The noise does concern me as I have my entire pc gaming setup plugged into it. Probably going to replace it soon, but in the mean time I just switch the green power off and just don't charge my phone 24/7 at my desk. Doing this keeps my worry of an electrical fire or frying my pc at bay.

I have a different version of this and there was a small switch on the end for their proprietary green power system. Turning that on stopped the buzzing. I never liked using it because it would turn off low voltage things at inconvenient times. From what I can determine the power cleaner inside is failing. At this point there are items that cost less than this did new and have higher surge protection ratings.

I found a link to Creative Labs and found driver download, for my specific model and installed it and it fixed it. No problems.

UPDATE: I've removed my Creative Labs Sound Blaster Sound Card and am now just using the on-board sound. So far this seems to have resolved the problem.

I have a 8100 2 yrs old, it has a Realtec sound card. sound problem just started. Pops and cracks like a blown speaker but not. Does it on all play modes. Unplug green jack and plug it back in and it stops then starts again. I'm thinking new card, they start at $30, Let me know what you do?

i call it still race07!!!! its such a good game and i have plenty of incidents there!!!! i have done what u did except colliding with another car and managed to jump over them with the bump! (hit bmw rear wheels when entering the corner and often they crash like that!!!)

The thing is, it doesn't do this all the time. Last night I was able to do an Advanced Legends race without any sound problems at all. Also, it is not specific to iRacing, it does this in other games too... but not in Windows generally so watching videos or listening to music is fine.

I think its your sound card check that first if not call irscing

True, the band were not the best, but she made up for them. She said halfway through the show she just picked up the band members in bars and busking on the London Underground... Something tells me she wasn't joking :-/
