Why not just be color-blind. That is what MLK advocated. I have an extensive background in organizational development. There is no benefit to having "diversity" in specific roles. In some teams, such as a product development team, there is merit in diversity so that the entire marketplace is represented. But pursuing diversity to achieve random diversity goals is nonsense. It is time that we bury discussions regarding diversity goals.

You need to think through what diversity means. It is not what you might think it is.

There will be many more Asians and whites in universities without DEI since those two groups are the ones discriminated against the most with those policies, Asians especially will see a rise. However, there will be less blacks and Hispanics, and that is the case already with the articles coming out about new Harvard enrollment since affirmative action was removed and so on. Though many universities still practice D.E.I and Affirmative action through more creative ways. They basically ask students to write an entry letter stating their prior experiences and backgrounds they came from without specifically asking for race, so I would not worry about it too much. The cult of DEI is a strong one.

My former middle school had geometry to take after algebra but they are getting rid of it

School system is a joke they need to start teaching students things they’ll actually use out in life when you’re an adult. Like taxes? Would’ve been super fucking helpful before I graduated. Also why the hell did they take away those shop classes now those classes actually taught you shit that’s helpful when you’re not in school. Sadly they were gone by the time I graduated from high school

Education system back in the day was definitely a lot better than it is today like for example we do the national anthem everyday and prejudice allegiance to the flag in school. My daughter was learning algebra in 8th grade last year at her school. Why is it that the state is picking and choosing what kids learn in schools? A couple of years ago my governor removed math, reading, and writing as courses that are required for graduation from high school. So kids don't have to learn the subjects nor are the schools required to tech them by law Thats an absurd idea to remove something like that to graduate high school and go into the real world as adults whether it be college or the job market.

You made several statements with very little to no real backing in your statement. It seems as if your knowledge of current math instruction is very limited. I VERY curious if you read through. the new math framework. It sounds as if you are looking for students to regurgitate rules and procedures without connections to themselves or the real world. We continue to turn out students that are successful at getting answers, We need students that can learn to question the world around themselves, learn to gather information to solve these questions, devise methods for solving these questions and to understand, justify and articulate their solutions. The current trend in math eduction is modeled more closely to the countries that constantly outperform the United States rather than what you are proposing, which would be modeled after the countries that fall behind the United States in mathematics. I listened to your entire argument, and read the article in question, and I don't find any really substantiated data in either to support these views. You seem to be in favor of math memorization over math inquiry. These leads students to be turned off from the math. Around middle school they learn to believe math has become some magical concept that must be memorized to figure out, which is far from accurate. I've got 29 years in math instruction and I've witness just how turned away from math students become and when questioned it's basically precisely these reasons. The new frameworks goes a long way to alleviate these notions, which in itself goes a long way to better math instruction. Getting students to buy into and LOVE the math makes far better math students then those that learn to hate it and develop the belief of "Well I'm just not a math person". I feel as if you are just skimming the top of math instruction and looking for those that support your limited understanding.

My daughter started transitioning at the urging and encouragement of her councilor and teachers, and they never told us. She was going under a different name. They hid this from me and my husband. She is now 19 and left our home and is actively transitioning. She is getting testosterone 💉 s she sounds like a man, has a beard, and is scheduled to get her breasts removed . This is heartbreaking. 😢

Children should have rights like privacy, even from their own parents. The number of parents who would punish their child for being gay or trans is still too high, above zero. This protects children with awful parents. It is a good thing. Parents are not meant to be dictators.
