Doug, which Karavan trailer is that? Any videos on it and your mods?
@@jessekendall9930 it was the 5X10 Karavan I basically put the side bars on a 45 they have a pin position for that then to hold the tailgate i created extensions out of square tube steel so I could use the clasp mechanism that came on the ramp
Thanks Doug! I have the 5.5x9 Karavan from TSC with the dovetail rear and was wondering if I could get an X2 1000 on it without issue.
@jessekendall9930 good luck
Did you install the full skid plate?
@@livinglife69 i never did end up doing the skid plate
@madebydoug so it came with the plastic skid plate? When you drive over the camera, it shows a skid plate.
@livinglife69 yeh it came with the plastic skid plate
What size trailer are you using?
@@livinglife69 5x8 from home depot I had to do some modifications to make it fit
@madebydoug if you ever get the time, share your modifications. I'm looking at getting an X2 this year. That seems like the perfect size trailer.
You should start selling kits i would order one if the price wasn't out of reach its a great design
@@adamparks3949 thankyou it was a really fun project I think the kit idea would keep the fun part going I just wish it wasn't so expensive to source everything and make a profit
Great machine bought one for wife and kid cause their old Wolverine 700 got stolen but huge improvement over the old 700.
@@lancelamoon6743 a lot more pep for sure
Hey Doug, are you willing to share the solid model files?
@@DennisBorchardt absolutely shoot me your email and I will send you what I have...the hole size and position were designed on a Yamaha Phazer so if you use a different sled you will need to make some modifications
Can you get to that without pulling the gas tank?
@@nickfontana1344 you theoretically could but it's much easier to pull the tank.. Not completely just enough to get to it
Any chance I can buy one of you 3d printed blocks for my wife’s bike?!
@@user-hj4et5be6i absolutely
Thank you for the detailed review. My wife and I just purchased the exact machine except we added the D-mode switch which fine tunes the drive and gives you 3 drive modes: Sport, Trail or Crawl.
@@SteveBonanno-e1r I have wondered if D mode makes a noticeable difference
@@madebydoug It sure does. Seems to really fine tune the power delivery of the motor for the 3 modes.
I just bought one of these 😊
@@robskully3539 I'm pretty sure it's near impossible to get it stuck
@@robskully3539 They are Amazing machines
I own the wolverine 850 4 x 4 and its a great machine.
picking up x2 1000 se today!
@@nortonashburn5677 you will love it after 1 year still no regrets the machine is awesome
@@madebydoug i think i will. been driving Yamaha since 2002!
have you or do you know anyone who has tried 30x10x14 tires? id like to go with them but wondering if they will work up front with any modification's.
@@MarvinCavanaugh-g6h that's a good question I have what came stock but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work up front worse case you might rub on a tight turn but I don't know for sure
good video, like your windshield whats its called and where did u get it?
@@MarvinCavanaugh-g6h I have been pretty happy with it it's Spike Powersports I ordered it from UTV direct the price and quality are good I got both the front and back windshield
Boo no music, more engine
@@davidday2965 thanks for the input I really appreciate it will make some Changes in future vids
Dis you have an 850 Wolverine before this by chance
No I had the honda pioneer
How fast does it go . I'm looking at brand new rspec or rmax I didn't know if the run about same speed
I have had it just above 70 MPH I don't know how much faster it can go it was getting a bit Squirrely at that speed
What size trailer are you using?
I'm using a modified 8×10 from home depot
Glad you compared it to the Pioneer 700. I was up in the air between these two but now you've persuaded me into this one.👍
I loved my Honda Pioneer but the lack of low range stuck me in a deep steep canyon two too many times
Do some vids on the capabilities of this beast and a review on reliability etc. 👍
Will do had it out in Southern Nevada in the dunes it was amazing...thanks for the ideas on new content
How are you liking it so far. Would you buy it again. Thanks.
I am still really liking it and would totally buy it again I drove it in snow almost up to the hood last weekend it was un stoppable
Liked the video, very good job explaining and overview of your opinions.
Thanks so much
My only complaint is the locked rear diff. It will tear up your lawn.
Yeh that would be nice if you could unlock the rear for sure
I thought this was about a Wolverine 1000!
Great video, thank you
Thanks so much and thanks for watching
How cramped is the machine im not a big guy about 5 ft 10 150 pounds but have some bigger friends and really wanna buy one I'm just curious??
So I went from a Pioneer 700 to this and I genuinely felt cramped in the pioneer I'm 5'9"i wish it had a bit more leg room but in general it's pretty comfortable the seats are adjustable and that helps but I haven't really felt cramped at all
I want an X2 1000 to replace my RZR 900S. I wanted the original 850 X2 but the suspension travel wasn't good, so I went with the RZR. That's a nice machine. Keep us updated on what you learn about it on the trails!
Will do so far I really love this machine
How's the heat?
You know it's not too bad however I have not had it yet in the middle of summer
I installed one today. Cannot get it to connect to save my life. It keeps telling me my WiFi is weak. It’s LESS than ten feet from my router. More like 5-6 feet. VERY Frustrating. EVERY other device in our home works perfectly. And we have GREAT Fiber Optic internet an a very nice Router. I just want to send it back. A guy shouldn’t have to be an Internet Technician to install a light switch.
I totally agree I'm guessing it has some issues my router is quite a ways away no problem I would try a different one
Awesome Machine
Thanks I'm super excited about it if you couldn't tell
I switched from a Pioneer 1000 to an Rmax. As far as fording water depth the Rmax is 17” which is where the vent for the cvt is. You may want to see where yours is. The same chassis with smaller tires. Watch your air pressures in the rear. If you run to low pressures it puts a lot of strain on those rear axles. It is a 10 year belt warranty but you have to service the sheaves every 1200 miles. Otherwise fun machines.
Thanks for the advice
CVT intake for both the Wolverine X2 1000 and RMAX 1000 is up under the hood, behind the air filter, so it's also very high.
Good to know...thanks for the info
*promo sm* 🙌
Thank you! 😊I have a few outlets that are loose and won’t hold a plug. I think I can replace them now.
Your so very welcome
If you have any questions let me know
Great video
Thanks so much I really appreciate that I hope it helps
