How are the notes different between the 3? I see the pictures and all the pretties but not the difference in the actual study notes

These are all very good. I love the ESV study Bible, it's lbuilt ike a tank! Very thorough! I also use the Grace & Truth put together by Albert Mohler. Concise notes. The Church History Study Bible by Crossway has notes from brilliant theologians mixed throughout with outstanding insights. The Ancient Faith study Biblle also. When my NIV was falling apart and all duck tapped I sent it out for a rebind. It took almost a year. During that time I started getting many other study Bibles. I like to lay them all out and compare what each says about the particular readings that will be heard in most churches on the upcoming Sunday. Many churches use a lectionary, which is a set schedule of four Bible passsages to be read aloud in church. Usually a OT reading, a Psalm, an epistle and one from one of the four gospels. I like to find out how they all fit together each week. Study Bibles help with that. My favorite is the Thompson Chain-Reference Study Bible.

I still can't get around the idea why are Bibles, in general, cost so much?? God's Word & Will should be free.. That we should be able to get free access to ANY OF GODS WORD & WILL! I am just looking for a Bible that will give an explanation & context of the scripture and how to apply it to my life.. Thats all.. I have to pay close to $50-$75 to own a decent bible that will explain in proper context how to apply it to my life.. It just frustrates me.. thinking of not even investing in one because they are so expensive.. Gods WORD SHOULD BE FREE.. 😒😒😠😠

Ever since it came out (yes, I'm an old man!), I have preferred, have pushed, and have sold on my product table The Ryrie Study Bible. Dr. C.C. Ryrie was professor of systematic theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. This Bible is a seminary education in one volume! Nothing compares. Also, since you are a fan of the CSB, have you considered The Apologetics Study Bible? I have it in the HCSB, and love it! Please take a look for yourself. Since I live in the buckle of the Bible Belt, the Scofield Reference Bible is a staple here. I attempt to steer people who simply must have a Scofield to the best of the three choices. The study notes in the 1967 "New" Scofield Reference Bible are (just as the late Dr. Charles Smith of Bob Jones University and Master's Seminary said) a 1000% improvement over the "Old" Scofield (1917) notes. The Scofield III attempts to emulsify the notes of the first two (NO!). Though the 1967 is no longer being published, it is rather easily found on places such as eBay.

I am from dodgeville Wisconsin and I want to learn more about the Bible but also I can't see very good right now and which one is the better Bible is it the new Kings James version or is it the All-American which one is better then in a regular Bible

It’s not necessary to buy the study Bible. One can study from online versions of the study bibles. But I think it’s important to know the background and facts about the stories and scriptures. The language changes over time, and it’s meaning in other languages. If people make up their own interpretation of verses, then the whole book changes. And people end up doing a lot of crazy things. “Speaking in tongues” for example. It’s a clear saying about speaking different languages. Different mother tongues. But somehow some western Christian’s wanted to make a show…

I have Dr. Jeremiah's and the ESV. Also NIV, Chronological Study Bible and some others.

Reformation Study Bible is my favorite!

There is also the Life Application Study Bible, NLT Illustrated Study Bible, The Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible, the Baker Illustrated Study Bible, the HCSB Study Bible, the Holy Land Illustrated Bible (although not labeled as a Study Bible - for all intents and purposes I consider it to be a Study Bible). Best study bible for beginners. I have many study Bibles. And I will have disagreement on the three you picked. All the ones you picked are great for advance studying, not for beginners. I would suggest the Life Application Bible NIV . Great for beginners. (This is what I think is good for beginners )

You overlooked the Tecarta app. I've been using it for more than 10 years, and nowadays it has become even better navigating through the commentaries in the study bibles. I bought some versions in the Olive Tree app, but I've give up using it because there is no scrolling within its Bible chapters, making it hard highlighting texts because you highlight half of a verse and will have to turn the page to continue highlighting it. As for me the best ones are: Number 2: the YouVersion App. Number 1: the Tecarta app.

I like the Charles Stanley Life principles bibles. You can get in kjb, nkjb, niv and nasb. I have given a few out and people loved and read them.

I think the CSB study Bible is a great Goldilocks bible ( just right). I started in the way back machine with the Scofield study Bible- to me, the layout of the Scofield is the Washington monument of study bible format. But then I use the Thompson chain. The CSB works well for old guys and new guys alike.

What about the Life Application bible?

Do any of these Bibles, in its maps, have the Mountain of Sinai in its right truthful place in Arabia/the land of Midian, as well as the place of the Red Sea Crossing at The Gulf pf Accaba/Yom Suf?

I don’t feel welcome at any church, why would I purchase a Bible? Christianity isn’t exactly a loving religion.

I have both and refer to my study Bible if l need a cross reference to double check a verse or l need some clarity on meaning.

For an beginner they should start with the starting place study bible

The everyday study Bible is phenomenal. It’s like a condensed version of the csb study Bible and a lot more easy to carry

I am drawn to the NSV Sudy Bible because of the very in depth notes and commentary. I also like the new NIV Grace& Truth Bible. However, I am going to look into the CSB Study Bible for the reasons that you suggest. Thank for the very helpful video.

I love reading through the Bible chronologically... any psalms written related to a specific Bible event are read when I read that event... like David in the caves; or the psalms that talk about when Jesus is on the cross are read when I am reading that part of the gospels. Something I just started this year is dividing the Bible chronological plan (with psalms and proverbs mixed throughout as mentioned) into 4 sections: 1) creation to end of David's life 2) Solomon to end of OT 3) The gospels in chronological order - so you might read same event from 3-4 different perspectives 4) Acts with the various epistles mixed in as close to chronological order as can be figured out I read one reading from each of these 4 plans. Some days I might only read from one section; some days I might read 4 from the same section because I really want to focus in on one Bible event/one person's life. I might read 4 in the morning and 4 at night ... or 2 in am or 2 in the pm. When ever I finish a section, I just cycle back to the beginning. None of the sections are dependent on any other section. I'm hoping this allows me to become very familiar with the entirety of the Bible.
