These old songs say so much. John Fogerty said in a interview the line in the song, "Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day" was a metaphor. To me, it means something different to each one of us. John Fogerty said the song was not a happy song although he turned it into one. To him he wrote it about the band breaking up.
