5 Elements of an Effective Blog Post
In this episode of Confessions of a Christian Blogger, we explore the five key elements that make a blog post effective-beyond just the content. While it might be tempting to focus solely on the writing, attention to these other components can significantly enhance both your audience's experience and your blog's search engine optimization (SEO).
Titles Matter: A strong, engaging title grabs attention and helps with SEO. Titles that answer common questions or use list formats like "Five Reasons Why..." often perform well. Tools like ChatGPT can assist in crafting compelling titles.

    I'm not an academic, nor am I deeply integrated into the historical studies of Christianity, however, I've immensely enjoyed listening to Richard Carrier's lectures and debates. What I've read by him has impressed me. I think he's bold for many reasons, one being that not everyone could tackle the topic he did and be able to rabidly defend his position with a straight spine. Who of us doesn't nurse our egos? No matter your assessment of of his work, to compare him to Trump is radically insulting. And, if Christians are questioning their faith, why is that a bad thing? It's best to make informed decisions as opposed to following blindly. Carrier is doing something right. Wishing you the best.

    Christains are troubled since they realize that Carrier is right. There is no evidence for jesus christ, or any "historical jesus", a delusional jewish fellow that christians don't worship anyway. Carrier, though he can be an arrogant twit, has solid arguments. That no one noticed this character, despite the claims in the bible is notable. For somene who was supposedly famous as a miracle worker through the middle east, there is not one shred of evidence supporting the bible's claims.

    Peace was the greatest law of Christ, we must stay peaceful in everything that we do. Jesus Christ's message of love and nonviolence is unmistakable. He taught his followers to "love thy neighbor as thyself" (Mark 12:31) and, even more radically, to "love your enemies, do good to those who hate you" (Luke 6:27). This call to love and forgiveness is not limited to personal relationships but extends to all aspects of life, even in the face of conflict and adversity. Jesus' teachings on detachment, as seen in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), offer a powerful framework for pacifists to cultivate inner peace, even in turbulent times. By letting go of attachment to worldly outcomes and desires, we can find a deep sense of peace and equanimity, allowing us to remain calm and compassionate, even in the midst of chaos. As followers of Jesus' teachings, pacifists can embody this radical love and nonviolence, becoming beacons of peace and hope in a world often torn apart by conflict and division. Doing this can be hard, but we must crucify ourselves daily for God and for each other. Much love! ❤️💚❤️

    Who actually speaks Koine greek? Well as it is a translation of something written in a foreign dead language in its usage 2000 years ago. So any translation is at best guess work. Usualky words can be translated in several ways and that changes meaning. We come up with the further problem that half of Paul's letters are contested as in faked and written by several other people. The letters who are claimed to be written by Paul are 50% of the New Testament collection. No one not even Cicero known for long writings writes so long letters. So what is preserved as letters is either a compilation and fictitious or fully fictitious. Furthermore we have not a single reply from anyone. How should these send letters be collected when they sent to different people at different places? All of this concludes to fiction produced by men.

    There's nothing complicated about the answer "no". All you have done is a lot of post and ad hoc rationalisation to try to convince yourself that Paul's experience was supernatural. Saying that you believe that there is good evidence of the resurrection is not the same as actually providing that evidence. Approximately 350 words within a collection of stories written decades after the supposed event by anonymous authors isn't "good evidence" of anything.

    The fact that Paul doesn't mention that Jesus was the son of Mary doesn't indicate that he didn't know this, that's true. But it also doesn't show that he did know. It's possible the Mary thing was just made up after Paul was writing his letters. Nobody knows

    Apologetics is the defense of a religion. No, we don't have to defend skepticism as that is a normal human state of being and frame of mind and is healthy. No, we don't have to explain that to you and your world salad to suggest otherwise will not make being skeptical apologetics. No, we don't need your permission to not believe your claims or your story. No, we don't have to argue or prove you wrong, we simply don't have to believe your stories or your favorite fairy tales. No, atheism isn't a religion and never will be. Somebody sold you a bill of goods on your religion and you bought into it. We didn't. We aren't required to. Yesterday, today, tomorrow...or ten years in the future, you still won't have a single supernatural thing you can show...actually show and bring to any video or debate stage. What you do have is your arguments which sound good to you. You've made up your mind, and somehow presume you can make up other people's minds with affirmations. So, no, you don't have proofs. You don't have evidence. You don't have much beyond words or hot air. Now, if that is enough for you, then good for you. But let's not play-pretend that you have more to present than claims.

    The fact Paul says his vision was no different than the “appearances” to others is actually really good reason to think that the “appearances of the resurrected Christ” to the other Apostles were visionary in nature, not physical like in the fanciful Gospel legends. The only writing we have on the subject that we can really take seriously is Paul, who says that what the Apostles saw is no different from what he did. Later legendary writing would invent these physical appearances with the Apostles touching the wounds and seeing Jesus eat and drink, etc. for apologetic purposes. To act as if the comparison is simply “Paul’s perspective is that the two types of appearance are just as real” is putting way too much faith in what are very obviously legendary accounts from decades later. As for the infamous 500 on which information is so scant, I like Dale Allison's hypothesis that this large group appearance was a sighting of a celestial phenomenon (such as a cloud, or a parhelion) that was interpreted as an appearance of Jesus, in the same way that other people in the Roman world regularly interpreted such phenomena as interventions of the gods.

    Paul(ogia) uses the “For the Bible tells me so” jingle (which I heard all the time when I was a child) as a device to point out that the only historical account of the case in point being discussed is the Bible, which isn’t exactly a reliable historical document. Historians generally give far more credence to accounts that were written contemporaneously instead of decades after the events mentioned. They also prefer sources that aren’t trying to sell something.

  • @velkyn1
    @velkyn1 25 дней назад

    Unsurprisngly, it's not complicated at all. Paul claims to have had a vision and can't even keep his own origin story straight. He has no idea tht the women were supposedly the first witnesses. He knows next to nothing about the story of jesus, having no idea what parables were told at all. No evidence he met any apostles either or that the apostles existed at all, just like no evidence that jesus existed at all. The biggest problem that christians have is that Paul repeatedly contradicts jesus in the bible. Even christians have noted that. Just google "Paul contradicts jesus" on the voiceofjesus website.

    6:01 We cannot assume Paul knew Jesus was born of Mary, as he never mentioned it. To us, it seems obvious because nearly 2,000 years of tradition have ingrained the association of Mary with the story of Jesus. However, for Paul, who likely did not know the Gospels-or at least, it is not clear that he did-Mary’s significance might not have been obvious. Therefore, it is not reasonable to assume Paul knew of Mary.

    Tangential to the issue you’re talking about here, but the issue with the Synoptic Problem and “reliability” is that it completely torpedoes the idea of the Gospels as histories or records of events that actually happened. The Synoptics are less separate texts than “rewrites” (or textual variants) of one another. The kind of word-for-word copying we see in the Synoptic Gospels is extremely rare in ancient historical writing, but common in fictitious literature and technical writing, in cases where an author is altering or rewriting an exiting text. Point is, the authors of Matthew and Luke aren’t simply writing their own accounts with Mark as a source to cite, but doing outright rewrites of it. 90% of Mark is present in Matthew! Since you are interested in Paulogia’s stuff, I would recommend watching the last 9 minutes of the video he did with Kamil Gregor entitled “Why Gospel Authorship CANNOT Be Correct”. Kamil does a great job explaining the challenge that the Synoptic Problem poses to Christian understandings of the Gospels. On the actual issue of the empty tomb, I do think there is reason to think it may be a historical event. Dale Allison makes a pretty strong case for it in his book on the subject. The Joseph of Arimathea story, however, is almost certainly mythical and apologetic in origin. It’s just way too convenient at serving the purpose it does to be a real event, and is only present in these texts which (as I’ve already been over) belong to the realm of mythical, cultic literature, not history. For a further introduction to why the Gospels are certainly not histories, I recommend Richard C. Miller's work, he's done some good outreach on some skeptical channels on here in addition to his scholarly writing.

    No evidence jesus existed, and curious how these christians can't even agree where the tomb is. They all make up what they want. Is it the church of the holy sepulcher? Doesn't seem so since it was temple to another god when constintine had it built over. The garden tomb? No agreement on that either. Strangely enough, no one cared where this supposed tomb was until christians started desperately trying to find evidence for their religion. So the tomb was "discovered" and "relics" were bought by wealthy but very ignorant christians, everything from bits of the cross, to JC's foreskin.
