I am a head cook at a middle school, aka, a lunch lady. My husband Dave and I and our dog Sadie, love to explore with our travel trailer in tow, while also experiencing alternative vacation stays-always with camera in hand. Scenic Drive Highway 550 / San Juan Skyway to Silverton
Welcome, and thanks for dropping in! So, here we are, making our way about three and a half hours north of Durango, to Silverton Colorado. The drive here was filled with peaceful scenes of summer in the San Juan Mountains, leading us to some spectacular views and the historic sidewalks of this pretty little town. I suppose I could go on about history, and activities and such, but really, what stood out to me most here, was the architecture.

How long was the hike there?
About two miles round trip with 400 feet of elevation gain. Pretty easy! Depending on ability, a couple hours at the most😉
