i love you Joe, but fix your understanding of "begs the question," at 10:50. you meant to say "raises the question," whereas "begging the question" refers to the rhetorical fallacy of basing one's argument upon the very premise one is arguing. this misuse is a common mistake, and i prefer that you not sound as if you are common.
In classical rhetoric and logic, begging the question or assuming the conclusion (Latin: petītiō principiī) is an informal fallacy that occurs when an argument's premises assume the truth of the conclusion. Historically, begging the question refers to a fault in a dialectical argument in which the speaker assumes some premise that has not been demonstrated to be true. In modern usage, it has come to refer to an argument in which the premises assume the conclusion without supporting it. This makes it more or less synonymous with circular reasoning.
“I think the common thread in my sexuality is everyone that I’m attracted to is not attracted to me.” American but I’ve watched a lot of British comedy panel shows and chat shows to get myself through three and a half years. If you noticed to correlation with the approximate arrival of COVID-19 in the West, give yourself five marks. 😉 I’ve seen Joe Lycett on more than once on several of them, my favorite of his appearances were on QI and The Graham Norton Show. I thought he was smart and funny. I liked him, not the least because though he got in some zingers, there was nothing mean-spirited about him. As a school bullying survivor, that means a lot to me. Since watching him here, he is now on my list of favorite humans. I do want to give this little warning though: Watching Joe Lycett while holding an open, nearly full canister of coffee may be hazardous to your kitchen floor. 😁
He‘s sympathic, I just don‘t agree with all these new made up things I do respect trans people, who didn‘t feel good in their skin, I respect gays and lesbians, everybody can decide for their own life and body The things with whom I don‘t agree and really hate about our society saying there are MORE than to genders, and letting stupid demonic brainwashed people who shout „we are here we are queer we re coming for your children“ talk and influence our children !! Exactly those people preach peace and love but are one of the most aggressive ones themselfes
He irked me too 😂😅there might be issues to face around the world, but the LGBTQ+ community in the uk has the same rights as the rest of us, so isn't it time to stop all the celebrating, all the preening, all the shouty demands ??? 😂😂 great performance Joe 👏
Watching this and then James McAster on trans issues - the difference in class between the two comedians is stark. Joe distills transphobia on to his mum's friend Linda and causes me to be sympathetic to trans people, James makes me feel attacked and makes me transphobic.
I don’t think you watched the rest of the James Acaster special, i presume you’re talking about cold lasagne hate myself 1999, at the end it becomes clear his initial aggressiveness towards “old people and chrizzos” is itself a bit - it’s a joke, and he thanks the christians and old people in the audience. If you meant the jokes on ricky gervais then eh i sort of think those stand
Do you mean calling *a* woman a basic bitch? Is your comprehension so poor that you don't understand the difference between criticism of a group, and criticism of an individual?
it would make me very happy if us pansexuals had our own letter in there, but i don't really think it's very necessary, because it's mostly covered by the b and the q already.
i'm a lady attracted to opposite-sex, but my wankbank material is all about vahina, i was exposed to stick mags at a very young age, back in the late 70's you'd find them tossed into the bushes at the playing field, we are always trying to recreate that first time.... i think
i think most of just assume we're het i'm 56 i don't think i was ever het now looking back, i'm very asexual, i just have sex with myself once a month or so, and i never suffer any shame or guilt, it's just a job well done :) cleans out the pipes, aids sleep and relieves stress #selflove
i'm a troll like joe, but i troll people with COLD HARD FACTS, and they hate it lol no one wants to hear scientific facts these days, masses prefer to hear woo woo and drivel lol
I went to pride for 11 years and don’t bother now. “It’s a political event” well at least y’all honest. That’s why a lot of folks don’t wanna go anymore ☕️
yeah. the rest of society decided to politicise our existances. we cant be apolitical. the reason u rarely see older gay people is because politicians decided we needed to be exterminated, so they deliberately cut funding and destroyed research trying to help with the aids crisis.
It's almost like the aquisition of human rights for groups that have been historically denied those rights is political or something. Crazy. The fuck did you think Pride was about?
Absolute legend. Oh this makes me so happy <33

He outed Alex Lawther
WTF Is there to be proud about being gay
TomDaley is actually Hellboy hahahahaha
Hey, the Folsom festival is lovely 👍
"oh that's Martin, he loves doing that" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I only just became acquainted with Joe Lycett and he is my new favorite person. I love him so much and I wish there were more like him in the world!

Leave Tom Daley alone. Let’s face it what have you achieved. Jealous are you ?
Such a SMART comedian. So witty!
Ugh Christ, woke comedy. Always sounds like a lecture.
It's really odd to me that people who have existed for as long as we have records could be considered unnatural.
RUBBISH
honestly the commercialization of any political movement makes me uncomfortable
Another person who doesn’t understand what pansexual means. It’s not even close to bisexual.
The last time I found anything this funny was my prostate surgery

Emphasis on the “in the uk”, not “the world”
Joe's the only comedian that makes good LGBTQ+ jokes.
8:12 "there can be as many letters as there are people in the world" unless your speaking English where there's only 26.
Not quite, numbers are occasionally included, e.g. 2 for two-spirit, a native american identity
@@theanarkiddie4569interesting fact! Tho if you start including numbers then thier doesn't have to be an end.
Love your jokes! You are amazing!

I'm talking about the Ricky stuff. Ricky was correct.
I thought this was brilliant, and I'm not even a bummer
I think this is brilliant, and hopefully it educates those who don't get what LGBTQ+ represents. 🌈🌈🌈🌈 ❤️❤️❤️
fckin love Joe Lycett more, thank you for uploading.
🤣🤣🤣
I don't think Bisexuals should be included in LGBTetc etc. Well not all of them, half of them is OK to stay.
did not laugh once - not even a smile. on 8 out of 10 cats, he's amusing, but this was weak. leave Tom alone.
this is some goddam brilliant targeted warfare
Calling women "bitches" and making fun of them for being "basic" reveals who Lycett really is.
Do you mean calling *a* woman a basic bitch? Is your comprehension so poor that you don't understand the difference between criticism of a group, and criticism of an individual?
preaching to the choir
This is not funny
There is something in the issue that gay men tend to have more media positivity than all other LGBTQ segments. Still women bear a greater burden.
Black Lives Matter with Tesco had me 😂
What happens if the P is added to LGBTQ+, is that still progressive?
it would make me very happy if us pansexuals had our own letter in there, but i don't really think it's very necessary, because it's mostly covered by the b and the q already.
first time I got close to laughing at an LGBTQIAPQRSTUV+-%& comedian. He's ok.
i'm a lady attracted to opposite-sex, but my wankbank material is all about vahina, i was exposed to stick mags at a very young age, back in the late 70's you'd find them tossed into the bushes at the playing field, we are always trying to recreate that first time.... i think

Where can I see the whole episode?
We do a bit of TRAULING
Joe, you're a very talented man, but you're obsession with sex is pathetic. Homosexuality is NOT from God.
oh funny gay
Wow
I'm about to nail my hand.
Fucking love joe, absolute national treasure

Where's the funny part?
That is a fantastic plan to get a bank to pay you to go to a BDSM event.
