Good afternoon Anita. thanks for your nice comment. It's a lovely ballad. I read it was the last song they worked on for the album 'Revolver' in 1966. It was intended to sound like a beach boys song with the use of the vocal harmonies. It took Paul, John and George 3 days to overlay their voices and get them to sound the way they were happy with!! Hi Rose, the song is from the 1978 musical movie comedy 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' starring the Bee Gees, Peter Frampton, Paul Nicholas and many other stars. I like Barry Gibbs vocal on this track. Apparently while filming this movie they also did the video to 'Stayin' Alive' at a nearby used derelict MGM film set! I actually have not seen this movie in full, I have the soundtrack on double vinyl LP which was my father's. Thanks my friend, I am glad I introduced you to this version. 🙏🌹❤️❤️❤️🎤🎹🎵😍☺️👍👍🙋‍♂️💕💐🕊️

Hi Jo, thanks for your comment. I am glad you like it. This song has not been released and was the first track recorded / worked on for their originally intended double album 'Secret Messages' in 1983. It was not released along with other tracks and the album was condensed to a normal one LP release. A great shame, I do not think it will ever be tbh. They did release the intended double album in 2018 which I do not have but I do have all the tracks on other CDs. I love the added tracks 'Hello my Old Friend', 'Mandalay' and 'Buildings Have Eyes'. This song and some other tracks did not materialise and the album was eventually not released as a double but normal album. I read Jeff Lynne was not happy with this song. I think it's good, I also think it was a work in progress and not finished but he decided not to go back and complete which is a great shame. This version is the alternate year 2000 bonus track from the remastered 'All Things Must Pass' box set released in 2001, I love the slide guitar he plays. Hi Jo, thanks very much. ❤️ I love the Voulez Vouz album fantastic songs on there! They did most of these songs on that ABBA 1979 special in Switzerland. I love that different early version of 'Does Your Mother Know' from that performance. I have seen many times! Yeah I got this album on vinyl and 2 different CDs with bonus tracks \ singles from that year. A great year for ABBA with the disco scene also at it's peak! You're right there I think I remember reading about this song for the Concert for Unicef and the accompanying music video filmed with that giant Snowman in the background😍This is a very hard complex song to play as there are many fast melody runs throughout (Benny imo is a master at cramming melody changes into his recordings). I am still practicing this one like many others I like to play. I love the last instrumental Schlager \ Polka style Coda it's my favourite part!!
