That scene with the horse, where Keaton appears to be asking "What do you think of these?" as if he were in a shoe store with a customer, is priceless! How trashy are today's movies in comparison!

I love the recurrent theme. Besides complementing the movie perfectly, it does something to me.

Charming. 100 years ago there thousands of men who knew how to craft excellent wooden wheels with steel hoops. Today, no one knows how. A trade that has been around for 4-5,000 years, completely vanishes in less than 100 years. Interesting.

Two big thumbs up for this tribute. Some of the movies here came later after I gerw up and so I haven't seen them, but this music is great. Especially at 1:47 to about 2:22 reminds me so much of the "Beef, its whats for dinner" commercials and the Folgers commercials in the early to mid 90s. Two thumbs up!

😢 That white car is a Pierce-Arrow, and was fabulously exclusive and expensive--every bit an American Rolls-Royce. Just for context. ;)

I'm surprised I watched a 100 years old film

Buster Keaton was a genius at turning comedy into a high-wire act. He could do the wildest stunts-jumping off trains, dodging falling houses-all while keeping that straight-faced, deadpan look that made him so unforgettable. Even today, his blend of humor and athleticism feels fresh and daring, a true testament to his one-of-a-kind talent.

Good movie and a lovely score.

It reminds me of Homeros. In the Ilias and Odyssey there are details of everyday life that were no recorded anywhere. Like the giant supply of horse shoes in a workshop that supposedly handle cars as well.

This was great, I love how you wrote the pizzicato "plink" sections to correspond with the threads of the rope being cut while the blacksmith dangled. Really well done!
