Brand new install of a Swampfox Sentinel red dot optic onto the Sig P365X. I don't say it in the video, but be sure you're starting with an unloaded gun. Check it before removing the slide.

The focus here is on the targets rather than the guns. But I do take a crack at the .44 magnum which is pretty new to me.

Plinking with the Ruger Mark IV "Hunter"
InLine Fabrication offers a plate to slip into the front of the catcher bin, so cartridges don't spill out on the floor. A piece of tablet back is almost as good.
Another YT'er drilled a small hole just behind the shell plate and put a small wire through the hole to prevent the primer slide from going all the way forward.
Nice range.
Can you swap calibers back and not have to recalibrate your dies?
Yes, with the breach lock bushings.
Would’ve been nice to get a close up on the gun
I got a vaquero in .357 but definitely would love to find a Blackhawk too.
That case retainer ring is a huge pain. I don’t use it
Do a better job get your camera work better, your talking about what to do, and we can't see the gun
my guess do not like cats....there are some times when i do not like cats...great video...
The rimfire guns have problems, is natural.
For anyone watching this in the future, I fixed it. I’ll leave it up in case anyone else has the same problem. The solution was that the pre-travel screw on the trigger was too far in. Backing it out and then finding the sweet spot fixed it. I was hoping for less pre travel, but it’s still way better than the stock trigger.
The new universal 5 tube case feeder (included with new presses) solves this problem by having a spring loaded gate. It can be purchased separately, part number 92044.
Thanks for the update. I wasn’t aware.
Does getting the cleaner on the wood grips discolor them ?
Not in my experience
Ballistol will actually enhance the look of wood grips
Thank you . I also have an SR 22 and I use Q tips to get in some of the tough spots
I really enjoyed your video. Unlike many more experienced reloaders, you take the time to share and explain the process. The others give a good overview, but you provide the details. Thank you. Just one thing, please use wrenches rather than pliers. Nobody likes round nuts.
Just a heads up... The pin that acts as a firing pin stop in the bolt can be a very loose fit, and if you're not careful, it will fall out and disappear, with the likelihood going up dramatically if you are working in an area with carpet on the floor!
Always take the grips off guns before cleaning. Solvent, oil, and dirt are always under there.
I'd think canned air could be used to blow the junk outta tight spots
Good job you know when you make a video little things will go wrong😂
LEE made a big mistake abandoning the load master and its capability to swap calibers quickly. I have a Pro 1000 and went to the loadmaster 4 years ago for this very reason. 30k rounds later and I’ve got to start replacing core parts on it. I would have gladly bought another but since they stopped manufacturing, I’m out of luck. But thanks for the video and the instructional content. I just don’t think this generation is convenient enough.
I agree, Lee should have designed this press with a similar top plate like the Load Master. I have a Pro 1000 and use it exclusively for one caliber to avoid the hassle of dealing with all that. Otherwise I use a Hornady AP press and it's fairly quick to change calibers.
I actually went on eBay and bought a 380ACP unit for 299 even though I don't load that caliber. I may just pick up an extra and let it sit in a box for a few years before I'll need it.@@1990notch
I really, really hate that they abandoned it. They seem to be pushing the company toward one that is more expensive, and in doing so, attempting to push toward higher quality. I was so stocked up on equipment that I haven’t needed anything, but now that I have a friend who is needing to get into reloading, I cannot believe the prices they are charging. I also am noticing they have abandoned most of their line of Lee Loaders and are only keeping stock of the most popular calibers.
I don't know if you know this but the Blackhawk has a different cillender that goes with the pistol that you can change out and be able to shoot the 9mm cartridge out of the Blackhawk. It makes having a extra choice when ammo is scarce, 357. 38s and 9mm and that's a pretty sweet deal all from the same pistol
Same set also… nice to have
Yeah, your definitely right about one thing, ammo is getting extremely hard to find these days and it's expensive. I try to stock up on my ammo by going every payday and buying at least 4 boxes sometimes 6 . I do this and think that everyone that shoots on a regular basis should also do because in today's age, you might buy some today and it be gone tomorrow or double in price. If te economy were to collapse tomorrow, i believe that i could still provide food for my family with my Ruger Blackhawk 357 and all the food my garden can grow
Hello my friend, i too own the Ruger Blackhawk in 357 , it's in stainless steel and about the finest firearm I own in it's class. I have practiced constantly with it until im confident in my ability to hit what i aim at. I do this because I plan on taking it as my primary firearm for whitetail deer. I also have the Henry bigboy lever action rifle in 357 and have harvested many whitetail with the rifle, now it's the Blackhawks turn to earn it's keep. For anyone who wants a peacemaker cowboy style pistol for reinactment of just the fun of target shooting and powerful enough to take deer and black bear, you can't go wrong or do much better than the Ruger Blackhawk 357 magnum, a very accurate and powerful firearm
For whatever press you end up spending about 3 times the base price to get all the plates and dies and bullet feeders....
Thank you for posting. Im also a beginner with the Six Pack so this would be a great point to start for me.
great vid, i also just moving from the classic turrent to the six pack. apprciate the info.
I just picked up a Mark 4 hunter and it is really an awesome .22lr. It's a handsome gun that shoots light out. A bit of cleaning advice that I picked up in my benchrest days. We all know that .22lr is dirty. Buy a can of Brakclean brake cleaner and CLEAN your brushes after each use. Spray the tooth brush and bore brush with Brakclean after cleaning each component; bolt, recoil spring, receiver, frame, bore etc. and spray down the tooth brush, bore brush and bore swab (if you use one) with Brakclean after each use. It assures that you are not transferring crud from one part of the gun to another, or transferring crud from one cleaning to the next. The last word: NEVER clean from the crown end of the barrel. Always clean from the breach end. If you abrade and\or ding the crown bad enough you will find that your gilt edge accuracy is gone forever.
Good job could’ve had more lite and close ups but very good keep it up
Thak you for the video. The camera angels were well done. I have 3 suggestions to make your reloading that much more enjoyable. 1. Bolt your bench to the wall if you can. Any wobble will cause inconsistencies/issues. 2. Inline makes a bin barrier that will stop the rounds from bouncing out of the bin onto the floor. They are well made and well worth the price. 3. On your upstroke go slow right before the shell case begins to spin. This will help with cases wobbling and powder spillage. Hope these suggestions help. Happy reloading!
Lovely thanks. I would definitely use gloves
Awesome. How is it going now 2 years on down the road?
🇦🇺😎👍interesting content
A great sixgun for most things.
"Promo SM"
Mr antwag do you remember me
Yup - I remember you. Thanks for watching. I hope things are going well for you.
I have to get one of these with my hands I can not use my Dillon 550any more.
Excellent! Thanks
Good Morning JerrBear Tactical, Awesome video on doing caliber change on the "Lee 6 pack Press" Well done brother!!! 👏 👏👏 Very Impressive machine. I got on the list for the blem press that Lee released but unfortunately wasn't able to get as they went quickly.
It's fine to take it slowly when learning. Thanks for the video!
cannned air works for the worst part of the powder spillage.
I keep a can on my bench to blow off small amounts of slipped powder or dirt.
The shirt you are wearing is a "Henley" style which is popular with cowboy action shooters. I saw your videos with a Ruger Blackhawk and a Uberti Cattleman; have you checked out a cowboy action match?
Interesting - didn't know that. No, haven't looked into it.
Great video man! Keep up the great work.
Thanks a lot!
Don't go super slow
Tried it slow, medium, and fast with the same result.
@@gunslant1269 You can do the following 1) Rotate the case feeder base clockwise, so the case will only fall when the case pusher is all the way to the back, the cae would fall. 2) Polish the slide 3) Let me know if you want me to make a video
My Pro 1000's do similar. Lots of videos out there of the solution, which is a spring loaded gate. Your problem would clearly be solved with that as others stated. Ingenious fix, wish Lee would come out with their own, as I'd rather it be an affordable, easy retrofit. But surprised they didn't, since it's the feed system that is the problem, not the specific press. Your casings sit nice and square on top of each other. With .45ACP they tend to be canted in the tube, so when the first one drops, the one behind it is exerting sideways pressure on the first one. Rimmed cases seem to just "bounce".
If Lee develops something, I’ll get it. Not likely I will make something like those gates. Maybe, but not likely.
@@gunslant1269 I don't blame you. It's a very consistent issue, it should be addressed by Lee. One less thing to worry about for the consumer. I've not seen them sold separately for less than I could do it myself, when they get to that point I'll get one lol. Or, as you say, when and if Lee releases something. They really need to address these problems that hold back productivity, otherwise there is little point in using a progressive.
Mark the brass and see if it the same one that is falling weird
It can be any brass. I've tried this with so many random cases.
It looks like the cases are dropping too far foreword in relation to where the slider rests. Don’t know if you can adjust them closer, but this guy seemingly came up with a clever mod to alleviate similar issue. ruclips.net/video/MsgszIg9OAM/видео.html
Yeah, I've seen that and it seems to fix the problem.
Bro, do you happen to have a used "LARGE RIFLE PRIMER" or "MAGNUM RIFLE PRIMER"? I searched the internet to make a decorative dummy bullet, but I couldn't find a place to sell the used primer so I'm leaving a comment. If you have used primers in storage, please leave me a comment I'll buy it.
Great video, Brother 😉👊🇺🇸
I appreciate that. I've watched a few of yours too, and they were helpful.
Thanks for the hints. We all need to keep on learning.
You bet - thanks for watching
Neat. Thanks. Waiting for the video where the strobing lights match you forwarding the press to music. Perhaps to Queen's 'We Will Rock You'.
definitely an option :) Thanks!

I'll bet there are lots of creative ideas. Thanks.
