Research and experience showed me that there are many things that keep us from achieving our desired goals. Especially if they consist of going against our natural tendencies, instincts and behaviors. Since the rise of the homo sapiens, 300,000 years ago, we have not received an update to this outdated brain of ours. The thing is, we have different needs and we have witnessed the birth of aspir...

    You're right, doing things over the long term is very rewarding and satisfying. We have been conditioned to do everything quickly to increase our performance, which in my opinion is just an illusion and only causes stress and anxiety.

    • @michaelmosesyt
      @michaelmosesyt Месяц назад

      That's an interesting take on the topic! Thanks for sharing. From what I've observed, being stagnant<taking quick actions<taking effective quick actions. Let me explain: When someone has the goal of obtaining a million $ for example, he may find a way to create opportunities for quick cash grabs (i.e. 1,000$ for working approximately 4-5 hours) and he can capitalize on that technique and do it a thousand times. By doing so, he achieved to earn a million dollar in 4,000 - 5,000 hours which can be measured as 500-625 8-hour days of work. He could also re-invent his way of operating and 2x, 5x or 10x his amount gained in the same timespan. That's what some call: Deep Work. Basically, it's to engineer a way to become more efficient with our time spent, therefore increasing our revenue for the same amount of working hours. So in 4-5 hours, if someone is able to create 5,000$ instead of 1,000$, he will achieve his goal in way less time than he initially would have. So, repetition to make a process habitual is mandatory from my standpoint. And it also increases speed of execution and removes a lot of errors over time. But we'd better spend, at least SOME time (maybe 20%) to re-invent our way of doing things and bring better efficiency into the mix. My next video is going to be about Mind Shading, which is basically a way to pull down curtains around your mind's focus to engage into maximum efficiency and quality of energy spent. Cheers!

      You got it, it's a dance, it's all about balance. Understanding our relationships with the activities we engage in, so we keep our full range of motion. I keep wondering though, when you say: "let both parts of you win sometimes", do you mean to cave in mindless loops of addiction, or mindfully engaging in the joys of life just for the sake of sensorial well-being?

      Hi and thanks for the question! I think it's one of the important ones to ask. I'm starting this channel as a passion project and share with the world what worked for me. I don't intend to pretend I'm as solid as big names like Andrew Huberman or Jordan Peterson. I don't have a PhD or even a Master's Degree in productivity, the only thing I have is my own experience and coutless hours of reading lots of books on the subject. I'm still at the beginning of my journey, and one of my goals in this project is to deepen my knowledge on those subject to become as unshakeable as possible. I am not asking anyone to "not watch" other channels, since my journey included watching tons of channels too! But if my message resonates with you and makes a positive shift in your world view, I think subscribing and watching more of my videos won't hurt anyone 😃. I think it's my job to find the subject that interest the audience, make the container as interesting as possible and especially DELIVER in the content. Does that answer your question?
