Looks like you got some buff orpingtons, Silver Laced wyandottes, golden laced.
Can you get a no bark collar for loud, constantly barking dogs? My cock is an orpington, it doesn't crow much, it only crows late morning.
Where did you buy the collar? I found in amazon but people commented it is not working.
Roosters are so loud. I live on a little over 4 acres, and my neighbor several acres over just got a few roosters that are driving me insane! I can't sleep with my window open. They wake all the native birds up too early. I wish someone would figure out how to breed roosters that don't crow.
Just found your channel, how are your chickens? How is your garden?
I know this person
Omg I love this video I know it’s been a minute but I am just now embarking on the journey 🐔🐓
I'll try the no crow collar, my rooster Tyrone Bennette will not stop crowing all day long.
Thank you so much for this. I have a few roosters and wanted to keep one but that man can't be crowing at 6am.
You would do awesome on TikTok! Your very likable
Hello, How can I get one for my rooster
Jesus is the lord believe in the gospel and repent from evil
I accidentally got a rooster, he’s 5 months old, a Speckled Sussex, gorgeous!! Anyway, I just got a complaint from one of my neighbors. So yes I immediately began worrying that I have to get rid of him but he’s quieter than mine and my other neighbor’s 15 hens. I also want to hatch my own chicks and after watching your video and others, I think I’m keeping him. Thanks for giving me hope. Oh, and enjoy the Arizona winter. I lived in Phoenix for 9 years!! That heat is no joke!! Good luck to you!!
Did you keep them?
@@marthaindiana, No, I ended up giving him to one of my friends who lives in the country. He’s much happier there. Oh, and my hens are still louder than he was but no complaints about them.
@@kimlucero4630 oh OK at least you know where he is. I have one now and I can’t get him to shut up. He crows all morning long. But I don’t want to give him away. I want to keep him, the girls. My five hens absolutely love him and follow him everywhere.
😂😂😂 you’re awesome. I wish we were neighbors
How do you tell which eggs to incubate?
You can candle them after a few days. Basically, you can shine a light through the egg and you should be able to see a silhouette of a baby chick starting to form. You put them into the incubator to make sure the fertilized ones are started off, then any that are not fertilized, will not show signs of anything inside so you can remove them. Also, if you're incubating birds, you do want to rotate them daily. It's something the mother hen does naturally. The wide end is the air sac. Also, as tempted as you might be to help the emerging chick as it hatches, let it happen without interfering, if you can and make sure you have a warm dry place for the freshly hatched babies with food and water available. They can actually survive 24-48 hours just in the nutrition they got from the yolk, but once they do eat, they need access to both food and water and warmth constantly. It's Reptile eggs that shouldn't get rotated, btw. Jurassic Park got that one wrong.
Hello young man, I am sure life got busy and videos are just not a priority. Thoroughly enjoyed the content you did create. Hopefully one day you will return and carry-on, sharing good information and good vibes. 🤗
😂😂
bro keep the chicken thing going !!!
Good video, i will definitely try it
Thank you for saving me $20! Almost bought the no crow collar. My rooster started crowing a few weeks ago and he’s just getting louder and louder. No bueno because I’ve got neighbors.
I wonder what happened to this guy?? He seemed really likeable. Hope he is okay!!
THANKYOU for being so nice and telling us exactly what we need to do, down to how it should feel on the inside of the collar! My roosters have been starting to crow for a week now and I have didn't want to use a meat As I too live in town and this is merely for those folks that want chickens who live in town!
Thank you for the collar trick 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’d love to see your chickens now!! ❤ We started with 4 and I luckily picked out only 1 rooster but he can’t be crowing.
I think I’d cut a slice through the middle for airflow to the skin Good video. Thank u. I myself ended up with two Roos by mistake. I’m only going to b able to keep one because I can only have 12 chickens here by law which is not enough hens to go around. Aren’t chickens fun though! It’s good to see a young guy taking interest in chickens.
Ok, so basically a 🐓💍👍🤣👍
good to know i live in northern az and were not allowed roosters for that reason alone .. now i can keep the rooster we mistakenly gotten asa hen
Now what to do with my loud morning hens
Where is this dude? Chicken raising is in... he could make bank with his video flow.
Watch from 5.00 save your time
If it means you ain't getting eaten.. be happy. 😂
Thanks for the roster collar idea brother 🤜🤛 we're urban farming and already had the city try and tell us We couldn't have chickens so we butchered our roosters.... been 7-8 months now no problems with just our layers. Payed $50 for a dozen fertilized eggs! No more of that now, looking forward to keeping our rosters. Thank you, God bless 🙏
What a great video, it was a fun one too! I'm gonna make some of those collars, thanks Chickendad!🎉❤😅😊
Bro I appreciate your chill/grateful vibes; that’s rare these days. You earned a new sub for that alone.
did your homemade collar end up working? im thinking of going budget but if i fail my neighbors will kill me
are you still a chicken dad? bro how those collars still going? im trying not to get evicted in sydney australia
We had some rooster drama today when I put collars on our 3 boys- lots of running backwards mayhem!
It happens 🤷🏽♂️ that’s just how it goes. There’s gonna be plenty of backwards walking for the first few hours. Just make sure they’re still moving and not just sitting there lifeless with their neck to the ground! In my opinion if they’re doing that for too long, that could mean something bad. But don’t get discouraged if they’re walking backwards, that’s a natural reaction! They’ll get used to it
@@chickendad562does your city allow you to even have chickens and roosters? Where I live in California, they won’t let me legally have them on my property. Also, I wonder if this collar would work on hens too. 🤔
Hey brother, please reply. I tried putting 3 Velcro together and then put it on the bottom of the neck. I can fit my pinky and it’s not working. Is there anything I can try? My rooster neck is long. He’s shamo 😊
Yeah brah go a lil tighter then! I wouldn’t put any more Velcro if you’ve already got 3 on him. In the states i bought mine at about 3 inches wide. I don’t know where you’re at but if it’s wider than 3 inches on his neck I wouldn’t go any wider.
@@chickendad562 alright brother, thank you!!
Rooster still doing fine?
How wide does the velcro need to be???? This is awesome
Come back! You go perfectly with Pineapple Express!!!!
It does not hurt them!
TRUEEEEE
What is the name of the incubated that you used ?
Did anyone start singing and want more of the song lol
Dude, may I suggest something? When someone search for certain subjects and/or tutorials on RUclips channels, they do not care to be listening to music tunes, funny cartoons, or unnecessary extra talking of non-sense subjects. If you want your channel to grow with audience, perhaps you should consider being more dedicated to the subject of your channel "Checkendad" and avoid all that extra stuff you are adding to your videos. I came to your channel to learn how to keep my roosters from crowing, not to be listening to Louis Amstrong or to watching cartoon shows. Be realistic and you will see your channel growing rather fast. At the end of the day, it is your option to accept suggestion for improvement.
It was fine get passed it
I thought it was entertaining!
I enjoyed it, you are entertaining as well as knowledgeable. You have a new subscriber in me 😉
Great video!! Want to see some more
Beautiful roses!!
Awesome video!!!
More vids pleeeeease, dude. Im kinda sick of the mom and pop chicken tutorials. Lol
Can the roasters still fertile the eggs when having that?
