I want to believe. I have seen signs, or so I think, that point me towards God. However, this vague way of speaking about faith and religion gives me pause. It is boring and ceremonious. Jordan Peterson's Biblical series explains what is being said in the Bible, better than any Priest or Pastor I have heard...which, admittedly, is not many. I'm a Gen-X'er and was not raised in a Christian home. My family is Catholic and when I went to church with other relatives, it was generally a positive experience. In the one small town where I grew up, the church connected the community. It brought people together...people helped one another, especially in times of need. I still believe this today. But in these past 20 or so years, I have seen the erosion of Christianity, to the point where my formerly religious relatives no longer believe. They are fighting with one another and families are being split apart. I do not know enough about religion or the church, but I do know that religion is being systematically rejected...as I said before...eroded. We must stop this removal of our fundamental morals, ethics, and values, which I believe Christianity provided to our societies. I believe we are lost without Christianity, but how do we entice people like myself...those disenfranchised from religion...or faith. How do we make it so that people can understand God's word...to come back to the morals, ethics, and values of Christianity? I know I am not the best person to speak of this...I just know that we will all be lost...if we lose God...lose faith from our lives.
