Never got the chance to ride one but I always remember coming into London Bridge on a 465 from dartford and pretending that the trains were racing lol. I remember just not seeing them one day and it’s a shame they were taken out of service.

The hate for these is too much tbh. Its literally supposed to be a lightweight vehicle and cheap to run and operate and good enough for passengers and does the job well. If they were fitted with a 6.7L cummins engine or a Mercedes OM936LA engine, then they would of course be much better than they are now.
There is no need for a 6.7L a 4.5L with 180hp will be enough not a poor 160hp and worst with an ′824-torque′ gearbox
The merc version is 5 litre wheres the power

One of my local bus companies has 2 and both seem to spend more time out of service than actually operating and they've tried unsuccessfully selling them multiple times. Shows how bad these severely underpowered rattleboxes are.

These are awful. I'm glad they don't work on my local route. They're very rattly awful and extremely underpowered. I'm not sure if a Streetdeck suffers the same issue because they work on my local route the most.
a lot of them do tbh (streetdecks), we had about 10 of them at my local garage in north london with arriva and they're defo underpowered. only decent ones here are GAL's ones on the 44 the arriva ones moved down to croydon now
My route recently switched to streetlites as first in my area seem to be collecting them like crazy at the moment. (Worse is that the streetlites are replacing mercedes citaros we have)

The greater Anglia class 321 are way better than the class 720
