Her previous album "No Home Record" is a reference to an actual avant garde filmmaker called Chantel Akerman, which is like if I called a painting of mine "Starry Day"

These days, we're just in a different kind of loudness funk. If we're putting our music on RUclips, Spotify, Qobuzz, Tidal etc etc, we have to do certain things that we wouldn't normally do. The majors all slam the living daylights out of everything, forcing us to master a certain way. Dynamics are still for the birds in the top music charts, just in a different direction. I don't love it at all.
