I started first Half-Life when I was 12 years old, now I'm 37 and racing to 40 and this week is the peak of my Half-Life experience ever, playing this Operation Black Mesa, I stopped playing games for 10 or more years, and 3 days ago I took my son's laptop and saw Black Mesa on it, I said to myself, I'm going to play it and now I've just finished it and now I'm crying inside, what I started as a child, today I finished, and today is the day of celebration, today is the climax

The massive slave factories endlessly manufacturing mindless killing machines to fuel a war on another world, while the workers withered away in exhaustion; obeying under the threat of mind control to fuel the desires of a tortured alien demigod. At some point Gordon must've realized he wasn't fighting for the salvation of his world, but of the borderworld as well.

Never realised, how much impact can do the simple music in the game. This soundtrack just says so much. You don't need any cutscenes or text on the screen to get what this is about. Story telling is just on another level
