Mower Incident caught with my Rove R2-4K Dash Cam
My dash cam caught this riding mower that threw a rock and hit my Jeep today. You can hear it hit as I pass by. I stopped and spoke with him and he gave me the phone number of his boss, which got my insurance info and will be taking care of the damages.

You didn't show going all the way up. In my younger days I had a 1949 Willies jeep with a 283 ci Chevy engine. I went to what is locally called the saddle many times. The saddle is right at the top of the range and you can look into the San Luis Valley. My friends and I would take frizbees to throw as hard as we could off the west side of the saddle and it would fly out then elevate, reverse course and fly back over our heads to the east side of the range. We got pretty healthy hiking down to get them and then back to the top to throw them again. I don't know what it's like trying to drive up there now since the government has done a lot of clear cutting and generally destroying the area. They try to say the timber all blew down because of strong wind but I and other locals know that's a lie. It's a mess up there now.
@russellkeeling4387 yep, I haven't been back to Trinchera since the video. I have more to load but just never did. This is the first year since 1997 that I didn't go to Cuchara. Yes, there are lots of fallen trees!
I made this drive every work day and two weekends a month for 12 years. I retired from CS&WD in Cuchara. I know the address from which this video started right across the street from Bradley's house.
@russellkeeling4387 That's awesome! I've been going up there every year for 25 years. I skipped this year though.
We were just over at La Veta and Cuchara a few weeks ago. I didn’t know there was so much good riding over there.
I'm like, "Holy Mackerel, dude-SLOW DOWN!" Then I realized I had it set on 2X speed, lol.
Great tour Chris. Wife and I visited there twice in Aug on our CO trip. Very nice village. Hope to meet you in person next time we go.
Thanks Tom! Sounds good!
Thank you for your video
You are most welcome!

Chris Nice ride around town, thanks. I was looking for atv trails in southern Co. and your videos showed up. Is there a campground close by? I am planning an atv trip in your area this summer. I live in Ky. Thanks again Charles Owens
Hi, thanks. Yes, very many. You will love it!
again again -- again again . I wanna go again . LOL . faster next time
OH gosh I remember your house - we walked past it soooooo many times hunting for my lost dogs at the top of that mountain trail there . GEEZ Im sure you had to hear us honking our horn frantically and whistling for them most of the evening into the night . aug 2017 - we ran from IRMA and landed there . WHAT A GORGEOUS TOWN you live . - should keep it SECRET though it is out now . :)
How did you access the trail? from the San Luis Valley side or La Veta?
Hi, from Cuchara, CO
Hey was looking for a cabin and came across some great videos. Of course, I was wondering what the rest of the area looked like. This was perfect and I appreciate your efforts
Thank you!
I know this road, been on it a few times, but not in several years. It's only about a mile long but seems much longer than that. Lots and lots of snow there this year, amazing how much for mid-June. Thanks for the video tour.
Thats my Grandparents place. One nice place to stay at.
