The hoops you have to jump through to use B4B prepaid cards produce considerable frustration. I took an offer from Delta Airlines to postpone my flight for a few hours in exchange for "$500 on a pre-paid Mastercard". I received a stack of 5 separate cards, with amounts on them ranging from $5 to $250. The amounts on them can not be combined, so unless you buy something that costs the exact amount on a card, the remainder gets waisted, five times. The B4B app shows you all relevant information clearly, but you need a separate account for each card (..slow clap). Each time you log into an account, you need to not only enter a password but receive and enter an SMS code. Of course, when you try to activate the second card, you are assuming that there's no way you wouldn't be able to add multiple cards to one account. "I must be suffering from boomer-brain. I must be overlooking some obvious feature in the app". On to their website, their FAQs, back to the app to push some more buttons.... Yeah, you'll waste an hour before finally figuring out no you really do need another account and, whaddayaknow, you have now unlocked $5. Oh and the claim you can withdraw money with it from an ATM? Not where I live. And even if you could, there's a $1 fee. You can do the math on that...

Warning - STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK !!! N26 bank confirmed to me on 19th October, 2022 that they had closed my account and that I had no access to my funds. They claimed that they had found irregularities in the account. This was false, as my funds had been deposited by my Lawyer in Spain following the sale of my property there which he completed, acting as my Power of Attorney, with all due taxes etc paid and the whole transaction had been ratified by the European Court at The Hague. I have requested details from N26 of what irregularities they had purported to have found but they are unable to do so, which is hardly surprising. The change in the exchange rate since my initial instruction has added more than €1800 loss to me that I would expect them to cover. If my money is not returned within the next few days, it will be necessary for me to obtain a further loan because of their actions, which would add further expense, which I would also expect them to cover. I have pointed out to them that I am 84 years of age in a few weeks' time and the worry, stress and lack of sleep that they have caused me has had a serious effect on my health. I reported to BaFin on four separate occasions which was a waste of time, is this state aided theft?
