Back in 1985, the UK was scene to large, unpredictable rioting. One such riot was in Tottenham; at Broadwater Farm, after a standard house search saw the death of the occupant.
PC Blakelock was tasked with his serial to protect a group of firefighters helping at the riots who came under attack.
How did this story end up in the death of someone who was just trying to protect others?

Please monitor our website and episodes for further information should we venture outside the UK like our ‘9/11: Special Edition’ that is also still available.
Just found your channel and love it, please keep up your great work as there is so much the public forget over time and it's great to remind them of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and should never be forgotten . I was there when Yvonne Fletcher was shot at the Libyan embassy in 1984, what a waste of a young life, these wonderful people have to live on in our memory/hearts.
