Big Idea! Indie Rock Archive
Добавлен 3 авг 2019
I don't need no money, honey.
I have a massive library filled with albums previously-unavailable online; my goal is to share my collection with the world and give back. It's an onerous task, but we're getting one album at a time here.
I do not (nor ever will intend to) profit off these videos.
With the support this project has gotten from the artists, I'm aware that some artists might not approve of their material being posted here, if you'd like to file a takedown request - send an email to whatsthebigidearecords at gmail.com (or leave a comment on desired video) and I'll get back to you ASAP. Thank you!
Have fun!

This band was better than any of the other bands Volcom had, period.

Really nice. Reminds me of exploding white mice
What r those untitled things?
Hidden tracks at the end of the sequence. Does that third one sound like Dave Snyder?
God the funkified versions of his folk songs are unlistenable. Skip, skip, skip.
I only uploaded this for Cottage Industry, I haven't heard the others but I believe it😂
did these guys release anything else?
Members would go on to play in Green Magnet School and the A.G's; but nothing else as Billy 7
I was in a band that covered this song! Love it!
Holy shit more 1000 young fuck yeah
Thanks for sharing :)
My band opened up for this band at Smile Coffehouse in Davenport Iowa back in the day
Was your band called Bobby Bag?
Amazing grunge
Do you have anymore rare birdbrain music??/
Used to play with these guys back in the day. My band was Smile Orange. Great band.
One of San Diego's finest from the 1990's!
Thank you for uploading this! I hope you upload Robby Aceto's Code album soon. I knew about Robby from his one-time contribution to JBK (Jansen Barbieri Karn) called "Human Age."
Crazy grunge from rust..san diegos best
Comet in your head!
Am I the only one who heard the scream at 2:40?
Saw them at Glasshouse in CA in 2000. Such a fun band
I remember these dudes traveled to Eau Claire to play a basement show with my band Grunge Machine.....I think the fuzz showed up.
That had better be Solon, OH.
How does this song match with Twisted - Roblox & Match with storm chasing videos
Yeah im a freaky baby 👅
❤
Thank you so much! Was looking for this one!!! Btw awesome channel
I had this on an EP with a hammer on the front cover. Listened to it over and over. On the 'I went down' soundtrack. One of the best Irish tunes of the 90s.
Is Acron Bridge Capitol I or Was Capitol I the name of the demo? I've been searching for Capitol I for years and I think this is them?!
I can’t seek this group My favorite album since 1995 but I have sold this CD Thank you for you

these guys we're really good but they came and went in barely a blink of an eye leaving a smattering of brilliant but Largely unheralded jams behind
Agree. The band started as Mike Conley's attempt to make pop music, but with so many lineup changes and inner bickering in conjunction with underperforming sales, it wasn't on a steady slope. Then the guys from Outhouse joined and the sound detoured from the pop-roots to punk. They lost their record deal and imploded. Jigsaw, Mike's subsequent band, was really good though.
Thanks so much for posting! JR is the hammer
Radiolaria's "Fizzle" has a similar feel
I’m just going to play video games u do u
@@Rugz-smoke what does this comment mean

Great band. A lot of fun live
i like the twin peaks connection of this album i just dont know what it means
But overall a well rounded album..gotta give them that..
Pure Seattle sound of the early 90's! Thanks a lot for sharing! Never heard of these guys.
Thank you for finally posting this. I've been longing to cover a tune off this record for years but lost the tape

OMG - I love that you posted. I actually love the Coolhand Band. I wish you would post more music. Eric Hartz is my hero!
shoutout to my dad for being on this album, still have a couple copies of their debut album that as far as I can see don't exist on the internet, might rip them and upload it to discogs/RUclips one day
What was your father's band?
@@itisthebigidea he was one of the guys in funnel
Hey. I’m the guy who played drums on this single. Wondering how you came across it. Do I know you? I don’t suppose you know what happened to the lost album we recorded?
Hello Roger, I'm afraid we never met. I was a big collector of the Catapult catalog so this one made it into my collection rather naturally. I did read you guys were doing an album; whatever happened with that? The catalog number for your album was replaced with that pretty terrible UltraBreakfast 7". Thanks for reaching out; I always loved this song.
Is there anymore stuff from this band?
Yes!! ruclips.net/p/PLJR5RjVgiFuECGQY500mo3TVfOBmJmUdM&si=e7J56tmlS7wEr1k0 ruclips.net/p/OLAK5uy_n9V-K48Nf_RMGH9RdO-iJ1rr5pyKZ-OwE&si=C00WCy8ONwhFCis- One of my favorite bands of all time!
