I guarantee that if you were to take a sample of Bonnie Greers DNA you would find Neanderthal blood. What you appear to be assuming is that modern day black Americans are 100% sub Saharan Africans.Due to the fact that humans are one species just about all black Americans have up to 25 % European ancestry and therfore have, according to your statement that Africans don't have Neanderthal ancestry doesn't apply to Bonnie Greer so perhaps you have another theory as to "that explains a lot ".

Griffin and his ilk when talking of the "indigenous people" are either speaking from a position of complete and utter geographical ignorance or they are knowingly making up what they say as they go along. They are talking about "indigenous people" on a small island a few miles off a huge landmass. If that concept doesn't throw a spanner in the works for you in terms of the idea of "indigenous people", you need to have a serious word with yourself. As for Bonnie Greer using someone having a 2:2 as a putdown, she claims to be for the underdog... whilst wearing a poppy... go figure! 🤦 Virtually no great socialists live in the ivory towers of academia spending their time preaching down to those they consider less intelligent. Bonnie Greer isn't an exception. Neither Griffin nor Bonnie Greer rock my boat though admittedly I have to concede I'd let the latter steer it far more quickly than the former.

Why would anyone argue against teaching an adoptive child why they look different and what their heritage is? People should of course do that. They should be helping the child build a strong identity and self-confidence, because unfortunately the media and other people out there will give them negative views.

Stewie griffin is a fool and this highlights the issues white people have. It's not absurd to say that a child should be brought up among their cultures. Either they have parents of the same/similar background or the parents take time to research and do the right thing. You are saying that whiteness is more important if you're intentionally disconnecting them and not caring about issues they may face as a visibly non-white person.

What seems to be apparent is that white adoptive parents are not up for having those imperative talks about race out of fear of the idea that “if you make it a problem it is a problem.” THAT IS THE PROBLEM. White adoptive parents, out of their own selfish fear, would rather not talk about race. It’s frustrating because it’s almost as though they want to shelter their child from their culture/background in order to solidify their family bond out of fear of that child may develop a biological connection with their roots and ‘real’ parents. The “I don’t see color” mentality is damaging given it implies that “your color” doesn’t matter and “we don’t see you any different.” White people always attempt to dismantle POC’s identity and subject them to western identities via changing their names to sound “more white” or more “acceptable”. Changing ethnic names with excuses like bullying. As well intentioned white people who adopt are... I’m curious if there is a subconscious feeling of white guilt for past injustices against POC that compel white people to adopt non-white children. Very bizarre. I don’t buy the colorblind agenda because color is apparent and color molds people via the experiences they encounter.

Any debates on race always end up about black culture. What about other perspectives. Also times have changed in the way that people wanted to integrate so it didn’t matter if you were black or white now people like or identify separately on race, sex and gender.

The guy in the grey suit is a prime example of transracial adoption gone wrong. The white folk in the audience may be clapping for him, but it's because he's vocalizing their ideology and racial perceptions. There is nothing wrong with transracial adoption, but the Black guy in the black suit is right, you have to raise that child holistically, giving him/her self worth, pride in their identity, and a true concept of who they are or come from. The guy in grey has a very westernize sense of success; he thinks because he has a good job and articulates his words well, that he's considered a success. He's lost. And instead of telling the few Blacks that are there that they're wrong, he doesn't even recognize that HE'S the one who doesn't fit in. By the way, if you have to say you're happy and success then how truly happy and successful are you really?

As human beings the place and environment we grew up influences who we are, but spiritual ancestry is REAL and blood is thicker than water. We MUST be in touch with our heritage as this is of significance to our PURPOSE in God's kingdom. We do not have to repeat generational cycles however it is our purpose to break generational curses, not create new ones. The man in the grey suit is trying to convince people that colour does not matter but EVERYTHING matters to God. Yes we are EQUAL but we are not in an equal society. Black and brown people MUST support their race instead of patronising and looking down on other people from their race! The man in the grey suit has the spirit of a pompous white man but is in fact a boujie black snob who is disgusted by black people who value the significance of their skin and ancestry. Shame is written all over him & this is how white british people want black and brown people to think.

I'm so glad rhat she is conscious enough to know that she is a black woman. First of all, we take the race of our FATHERS by laws of nature. Secondly, in America's history, she would've always been seen as BLACK. If there is even a drop and she has more than a drop and lets not forget she is sitting under lights in this interview. She would have been treated like any other sisters in those times and even worse because the hate came from both blacks and whites. I can relate. Not in a racial sense, but on many levels. There is a feeling of not knowing where or if you belong ANYWHERE! Love Halle!
