i have such a luv hate relationship with youtube😂😂
I know brother. But your content is cool
hi scotty👋👋. im back😂😂
Bout time my brother! Wolf Caves soon!!!
Just so nice when everything goes smoothly…!!✌️
It really is. After a few missteps, I finally got it dialed in, and it performed fantastic! 1500 mi trip and zero issues even w 37x13.5x17 MTs and 5.13s ! I appreciate you watching brother. Hope to wheel w ya in the future!
I don’t know if you know how much I enjoy watching “my” I mean “your “ jeep off roading.. I lifted mine 3.5 and adding billstein shocks, and terra flex quick disconnects. And MickeyThompson 35’s …. I’m stagnant at this point… Long way to catch up on alot of stuff..!! But love my 2021 Gladiator Willys addition in Stingray ✌️ P.S. painted fenders and all..
Your jeep is capable for sure!, you're goto have so much fun. It's crazy watching my 1st vids and then 3 years later at what I've done and where I've wheeled. These JTs are freaking a blast. Get out there brother! Lol Thanks for watching
And hell ya string gray is my favorite color. Im thinking about need liners but keep the fenders... we shall see
Left a like. Will watch when I get home from work. Looks like a great time.
I can hear your radio, I hope you don't get a copyright strike
Yeah, I need to find a better solution for that. I may edit if necessary
I know you have metal cloak everywhere.. best bang for the buck..?? Or what..?? And Navy Guy..!!?? THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE..!!🇺🇸
I'm sold on their products. Esp my lift kit, makes driving it a blast offroad and onroad now. I appreciate your support brother
are you able to get those front ones end without taking off the coil?
You need to remove coils to install. Not super hard but having the tools makes the difference
I'm sure a shop could do it reasonably. I used 2 jack stands on the frame to hold the front up, support the axle w 2 floor Jack's (remove tires) undo endlinks, shocks, and breather tube, then let the axle all the way down. Then you have room to get the spring out and swap bump stops. Again not hard, but the right tools make all the difference.
Ha lost my glasses yesterday, so proofreading was bad 😂😂
I will be there with Event Horizon!!!
Excellent brother!
Happy Veterans day Bro 🇺🇸, almost time to Wheel again ,Hope it's a Big Turnout # WILLYS ROCK 🇺🇸💪✌️
Bro we gotta represent 💯 can't wait !
Thanks brother !
That sounds awesome! Happy Veterans Day, brother.
Thanks brother!
Great video! I’m going there in a couple weeks! So excited
You are going to have a blast. It's so cool just to cruise around and enjoy the surroundings. Great time indeed! Let me know how you liked it and what trials you liked. Rubicon was awesome
Thanks for sharing this video!
Did ur gas mpg go up after the regear?
No, not really - if anything it's worse but I have the power to move these heavy 37s now. Ave 12-16 mpgs generally now
@ thanks for the reply, I’m on a pretty similar setup as you with 37’s and a 3.5 Metal Cloak lift. Honestly living out in SoCal it’s pretty flat and I have been doing just fine with 4.10’s and 37’s. The only complaint would obviously be better gas mpg. I’m seeing 11.7 avg and it hurts the wallet! Lol
That's impressive and pretty much brought you back to stock. This was helpful thanks. 🤘
Hey, do you know if this can be done on the rear doors?
Great question, It would be a great feature to have. Not sure ??
@TXJeepDad my wife's Lincoln and my father's explorer both have it on all for doors. While not a huge deal, every time I go to open my rear doors, I wish the feature was on all four doors.
This is sick!!
thanks for the reality check, maybe 35s are good enough. lol
35s are perfect IMO. Don't require as many mods which helps save cash. Then you can enjoy and just upgrade as necessary. I kinda jumped in the deep end without thinking lol
Brother Scott had no idea 😮😎
Big fan brother !
What shop did your Re-gear? I'm looking for one, just hear so many horror stories about ring gear bolts backing out from some shops work.
The shop that did mine , Hill Country 4x4, closed earlier this year but there are still solid options in SA. For gear installs in SA, i can confidently recommend Bikini Off-road, Wilder Offroad (I worked there and have seen 1st hand the quality work), FlippFab 4x4 and more, and Exodus. By far exodus does more regear than most shops combined. Call them all and see what they can do for you.
@@TXJeepDad Thanks man. Exodus is the perfect choice, quality work and speed for having it done in 1 day, which is what I'm looking for. I called awhile back, they do Revolution Gears which is a very good gear set and what many hardcore Jeeps are using but they don't do Yukon Gears.
I'd also go Revolution Gear if I had the choice over again. Too many issues w Yukon pinion bearings. Nice choice, Can't go wrong w exodus.
Friggin Sick ✌️
Yo…..!!!! That’s seriously bad azz..!!
Why MTs in Texas for a Daily besides they look awesome!? 37s dont have to be gas killers with the right set up. I bet if you went to AT or even an RT tire, you would improve your MPG by 1.5 or more. I had 35in Toyo Open Country MTs on my Mojave built for camping/overlanding so its heavy and was getting mid 14 MPG and never saw 16, then I got a 3in lift and 37in Toyo Open Country RT Trail which are technically 2lbs lighter thans the 35in MTS and now im mid 15 to low 16 MPG and Im still 4.10. I do plan on going 5.13 but its not bad, it does struggle at elevation going uphill. Ive only had the RT Trails since mid summer but they have performed awesome on the trails here in Colorado and they are fantastic on pavement. Combined with the better suspension and tires, the Mojave handles aweome on those downhill curvy moutain roads. I highy recommend the Toyo Open Country RT Trail tires.
I'll have to check them out. When I 1st got the jeep it, I had MTs. Kinda got used to the look and cant go back lol. I had KO2S and Toyo Open Country MTs both in 37s. ATs are perfect, except i like to rock crawling and needed more grip. Then I found these Maxxis. So much grip, great on all surfaces and they are beefy. I daily 2 mi, I'm a stay at home dad, so she doesn't get driven a lot fortunately. 2021 with 15k mi You're set w the Mojave! So bad ass from the get go. They drive and look way better than my sport 😆
@@TXJeepDad I also inherited my 35in MTs. Were Diff lockers added when it was regeared? Do you have Swaybar Disconnects for rock crawling? Adding a Front Swaybar disco is a good option for keeping boths wheel planted (most of the time) and spinning without a diff locker. Its also quite a bit cheaper until you can save up to add diff lockers. I went with AutoLynx Swaybar disconnects by Apex designs, they are pricey but you just turn a knob to disconnect and reconnect, super easy, totally worth it compared to the Rubicon Express Swaybar disco i had before. Only problem is i get soo much articulation that now im getting some rubbing on my full width bumper, so now im looking at mid length or a stubby bumper in my future.
@coloradocantu nice! I'd love to add a better disconnect option, now I have rustys quick disconnect w lock pins. (I pop em out when i wheel. Not super convenient, but it's fully free to flex. Flex is massive. I added Metalcloak upper bump stops and that helped not get into the fender. I also have a reaper Off-Road Stubby Bumper. I kinda went in reverse order 🤣 No lockers yet. Rear locker and chromoly axle shafts are up next. I just modulate the brakes to get the rear to act like a locker (works great for now). At least I have a winch to help rescue me just in case. I'm deciding on a locker now.. not sure if I want elec, air or OX locker. Checkout my wheeling vids
I actually find that I get better gas mileage by not using cruise control constantly. I let off the gas going uphill and then barely give it acceleration as I’m going up. Basically I drive like a grandpa. 18.4 mpg currently in North Texas on my Max Tow.
Nice, I'll try that next time. This was definitely a worst case scenario for sure. I remember doing 90 for about and hour at 1 point 😆
Good info. Thanks. I’m planning on doing 5.13s on my rubicon when I bumped up from 35s to 37s.
I appreciate it. This was definitely a low end on Mileage but always lots of smiles per gallon. I absolutely love my 5.13s. And when you go 4LO, w that 4:1 rubicon transfer case w the gears - freaking amazing! I'm hopefully switching to rubicon 4:1 TC eventually
I run stock 4.10 gears with my 2023 Rubicon Gladiator and 37" tires with 2.5" lift. Last 3 tanks have been avg 17mpg around town and 19.75mpg on highway for last 2 trips. No issues at all hitting 8th gear and doesn't bounce between gears searching. All these fuel mpg is with the Fuelio app so it's 100% accurate cause takes exact numbers plus exact fuel it took for those miles
Thats a sick looking Gladiator!
I appreciate it, thanks for watching
I'm a Gladiator owner in San Antonio also. We need to get together and go wheeling!
Heck yea brother. We will be at Wolf Caves the Saturday after Thanksgiving for sure. Crawl mag will be there, should have some crazy builds
I have 513 in mine with 37 got about 11 to 12 if I backed down to 60 got about 15,16 , iam running 40x15.50 nitto on 20x12 s I also have a tazer on the 40 about the same but 8th gear is used but not alot of hopping, gona install levernois tune soon to see what happens they claim 40 hp on 93 and 50 on e85 if anyone has installed this let me know keep up the great work
Need to watch Wayalife's latest video on re-gearing ... problem with 5:13's in the 44 is that the pinyon is super small.... and has Yukon worked past their quality issues of the 5:13?
I saw his video, very informative. For me, I only have the 2.73:1 transfer case, and in 4 low 4.88s weren't low enough to rock crawl. I definitely take it easy on the skinny pedal so I don't damage the pinion. Although I hear people "talk," I've seen zero issues w 5.13 pinion size w the guys I wheel with. My yukons are holding up but I'd go Revolution for sure if I have issues.
Now…if only I trusted Jeep mechanically (engine/electrical/tranny longevity) like I trust Toyota Tacoma 2nd gens
3.6L pentastars and the 8 speed transmission are statistically very reliable. There are just as many old jeeps on the road as old Toyotas.
Right !? Man my 22RE was bulletproof! I miss my 90s Toyota pickup
It's all about the Smiles 😁a gallon for me. Solid vid bro
Thanks brother
Thanks for the info. I'm heading to Exodus 4x4 next month for my 5:13 gear change. I live in Lafayette, LA. Can't get nobody around here to get it done. Take care and God Bless.
Bubba and his crew did my front steering mods, good guys. They do the most re gears in my area. And they do Hemi swaps ! You'll love the gears
Gears are a Torque Multiplier nothing more.
True... But the gears allow the transmission to run as designed .... Run bigger gears and you do not get into your higher numberic gears on your trans and trust me if the manufactuers could get away with an old school 3 gear they would but mileage woudl suffer but the trans would be much cheaper to make/design, Also the gears allow for better low end (however not really matter with the Rubi transfer case.. I haven't geared my JT Rubicon Diesel but since i do a lot of in city driving I do know I would benefit with some mileage increase as I know I use more fuel as I do not use as many gears.
Good Stuff Bro 🇺🇸💪✌️
Thanks brother
Are those M/T Mudd Terrains? They look awesome!
Thanks! They are mud tires. This is my 3rd set of mud tires; I finally found a brand I like and that takes .massive abuse! Maxxis Razr MTs 37x13.5x17 D rated
My new Gladiator with TF Alpine lift, 37 inch Patagonia, messing around my house in Idaho with stock Rubicon 4:10 gears, driving in the mountains in Teton and Yellowstone never exceeding 50mph is averaging 19-21. Its new and only has 1600 miles on it and I have never taken it over maybe 60 anywhere (don't need to yet), but 110 percent perfectly capable with stock gears and "messing" around for 20 mpg. Quite obvious when the wind hits this vehicle on the hwy at speeds over 60 is when milage tanks. For what I do in Idaho you could not give me new gears. And yes, my guess would be at 70 mph I would see milage creep into the 12-14 range (although I have never done or tested or seen that yet). For those with the same set up that complain about never getting out of 6th............shift it into M and bump it into 7th and even 8th. At 50 we can get the instant milage on flat ground to read 28...........oh and gas 3.6.
Nice! Man I was so clueless and didn't even know about the max tow option; subsequently they sent me on my way w 373 gears. Lol dang it, I kinda had to regear by default. I always learn the hard way! I also agree, it's not really necessary to regear until you find you need that extra power. Man Yellowstone is bucket List!
With such a tall gear what were your RPMs at 90 mph? Thanks bud, rig looks perfect.
Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll have to check next time I hit the freeway for rpms. I know at 80+ my mpgs were around 10 lol
Sounds crazy… so fuel mileage is Not going up for gears ⚙️… But capability is way higher…!!! Great video…✌️
Kinda crazy right. This was my 1st big trip over 500 mi, did okay. If I take it easy I could better, but this was a real example for reference just hammer down and hitting the road! Thanks for watching
Can you tell me what the wire colors are for the LOC and which is positive and which is negative? Thanks
I went ahead and paid someone to install my LOC and amp - i was super new to jeeps back then and didn't trust myself
Love my tube doors. 55F in Houston this morning, hoodie and a good beanie for the drive into work lol
It's the Best ! I shouldn't have waited honestly. Hoodie weather finally!
Just in time for the Cold Front ,Looks Awesome Bro 👌
Right ?! Man I'm ready for cool weather
