Great footage guys. I go on the island often and I like spending time driving around Port aux Basques while I wait for the ferry. Seen a lot of TV footage about the damage. Went back in December and drove around. It's only when I saw with my eyes the amount of property that was destroyed. Building materials, soils, dirt, rocks bolders dragged back in the ocean.

was curious to see if Burgeo got any detail at all in FS 2020, but was honestly shocked to see that someone had actually made a video flying around our sleepy little town. I guess you really can find anything on youtube lol.

Searching as much as I can about Burgeo and NFLD as it's my first trip here to the "Rock", and I stumbled across this video! If anyone asks what it's like here in Burgeo, I'll show 'em this video! Aside from the genuine (There is no better way to describe the people of Burgeo, thanks Shorty!!) people, which is the only thing missing in the video, this shows it all!!! What an incredibly, relaxing and at the same time, exciting and exhilarating experience this has been!!! Huge THANK YOU'S to Furley and Doug first and foremost! (The epitome of Newfoundland hospitality!!!) And of course to Shorty, Kor, Brad, Ter, and Frank and every single person in this beautiful little coastal town for being nothing but genuine Newfoundlander's!! Yes b'y!!!

thats a really nice looking plane u have there allan and it flys great. im a big fan of saito engines and this one powers the kadet really well. have fun and enjoy. theres nothing to beat float flying.

brilliant video of your alpha 40 on water allan. jason did a mighty job as pilot. it looks like a real nice place there for float flying. in an hours time im heading off to fly my alpha 40 in a local farmers field that has just been cut fresh on saturday. regards aidan

It's so neat to see this! I was the pilot who took you up for that flight. One of the cadets I used to teach(who happens to be working crew for this flight) just found the video and showed me!

it was just a cheep camera from china 7.00 very little damage to plane had it flying again next day

we have14 planes,got involved with scale planes but with floats and salt water there is just to much involved getting them ready and trying to perform maintaince on them ,we have a tower hobbies mk11 that has been a favorite for the past 4 years ,im getting a 60 size trainer soon and get red of the scale planes

We are having trouble finding a field too. We have one in Bauline until next year, but who knows after that. I have a cabin on a lake so I usually buy planes that can be used on floats too. I am just finished a Great Planes Cherokee 40 ARF and I have Great Planes 40 size ARF floats for it too.

thanks,LOL My son and i are the only flyers in this area.we fly floats only,the only level land we have is sandy beaches,we fly of salt water also,but although its a little more maintaince its worth it.thanks for watching
