The chine now fits into place. Glue lines are drawn to help contain the mess by knowing where to apply the adhesive. Glue is applied, squirting it in place then spreading it to the lines with a small paint brush.We must work fast to apply adhesive then clamp the chine properly in place before the glue starts to set. Continuing the Erie High School Maritime program using reclaimed Douglas fir from old 30,000 gallon wine tanks. This is beautiful, straight, vertical grained, clear lumber that smells a bit like sherry when being machined!
