Paloma, that was beautiful. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your heart. It really inspires me to keep sharing mine. It's always surprising to find out that imposter syndrome can affect ANYONE...even the people you assume are so talented they could NEVER feel that way. No one is exempt from questioning their worth. We all wonder...what if they made a mistake? From my perspective, you are crazy talented and skilled. Of course Lilla snatched you up! I guessed she would all along! I love your vibe, your illustrations and your perspective! It's cool and fresh and beautiful. Your love language to the world is art and that makes you an expert in your field! I love the idea of writing the reasons why we deserve things. I'm going to try that! ....side note, you don't owe us anything for therapy....we owe you for sharing that beautiful nugget of vulnerability and honesty with us!! Shine bright my friend! 💖

I've been hesitant to get the book, as a friend of mine said it ended up with making her depressed. I am emotionally fragile at the moment. I think I'll watch your journey and see. One thing I'm very aware of is that my inner child was never nurtured and loved. I find that drawing everyday is when I'm at my happiest. Congratulations for starting your channel 🥰

Hello there Paloma!! I bought "The Artist Way" months ago and it sat in my pile of books since then but today I decided to finally pick it up and start reading...I found your channel and decided it was a great way to inspire me to go forward...I've been an Artist for 40 plus years now ..and have spent these past two years working with watercolors....prior to that I was an Acrylic painter and used colored pencils for much of my other pieces of art...I think I'm addicted to buying art supplies since my house sometimes looks like a mini version of Jacksons or here in the states...Jerry's Artarama...LOL....Anyway I just wanted to say hello and to thank you for your inspiration to begin this journey...I usually paint each day regardless if I am inspired or not but lately I feel as if something is missing with my creative process...thus picking up the book! I hope that you had a Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing more of your videos! Stay safe...Rus from across the pond in Pennsylvania 🤓🎁❄🎄☃️

So interesting to hear your feelings about your inner critic doing what it does in order to protect you and turning her into your ally. The first time I went through The Artist’s Way I was in my 20s and I treated my inner critic as a competitor that I wanted to defeat. That had its advantages, but it was too confrontational. Having gone thru the book again about 20 years later, I started treating my inner critic like a rude little child… always wanting to be heard and saying nasty things. That worked better for me because I was the “older one who knew better” and so it was much easier for me to quiet the young critic… and dismiss the negativity as “doesn’t know any better.” I’m so excited to be following with you on your journey, Paloma… and hearing your experiences! 👏🏼🥰

So, what can I say about the Artist’s way, about Dave, about you? The book is a life-changing book. Dave is the best. And you, you are una preciosidad, you are a sweet beauty wonderfully taking us by the hand and ushering us into your incredible inner universe… definitivamente todo esto es la caña!
