Trip to Sweeden and Autunm Shanannigans
In this video I show you some snippets of my trip to Sweeden, where I attended a yoga reatreat. I was an incredible experience in a place called Shambala. It was by a lake and near a forest. I also include a bit of my embroidery practice, which is mainly a way of bringing some mindfulness, care and gentleness to my hands. And I show you my altar whcih I have recently created to celebrate Sahmain. I hope that you are well. The music in this video is from Oak Studios.

This is week 7 of the Artist Way journey. Week 7 is about regaining a sense of connection to our truest self. One way to connect to our inner world is to write our morning pages and these have not been working that well for me until I found a hack from an unexpected source. This chapter of the Artist’s Way is full of great and inspirational quotes and touches on the topics of perfectionism, jea...

After finding the morning pages a bit difficult to write for a bit, a looked into what might be going wrong and I changed how I write them. I have dis...

Welcome to my video about week 4 of the course ‘The artist way’ written by Julia Cameron. Week 4 is not that easy, giving up reading but also trying to give up my addiction to RUclips videos was really hard. I however forgot to mention in this video that it was not a total failure and that I managed to free up a lot of time to do chores and declutter my studio (it has never been cleaner!). I le...

Hey Paloma, I just noticed this video today - my goodness, what a great subject to talk about that affects so many of us! Thanks for sharing with us. I love your list on the wall (I think I’ll do that too!) and I love that Lilla told you to write down what she thinks about you. 💛 Here’s to embracing all our weird interests and quirks, they’re what make us interesting…and h a p p y 😊💜
Well I loved this video gonna share with my cousin and her daughter.
Paloma, that was beautiful. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your heart. It really inspires me to keep sharing mine. It's always surprising to find out that imposter syndrome can affect ANYONE...even the people you assume are so talented they could NEVER feel that way. No one is exempt from questioning their worth. We all wonder...what if they made a mistake? From my perspective, you are crazy talented and skilled. Of course Lilla snatched you up! I guessed she would all along! I love your vibe, your illustrations and your perspective! It's cool and fresh and beautiful. Your love language to the world is art and that makes you an expert in your field! I love the idea of writing the reasons why we deserve things. I'm going to try that! ....side note, you don't owe us anything for therapy....we owe you for sharing that beautiful nugget of vulnerability and honesty with us!! Shine bright my friend! 💖
Oh my good Brenda! Thank you so much for your kind words and your support! The feeling is mutual, I love your work and your energy. I am getting better and better with my self-confidence and just embracing what I love the most in the world, making images and art. I hope that you are well and I am sending you lots of love.
Loved this your so honest. You do deserve your success I love your work and to be happy is the greatest thing! ❤
Thank you Karen for this lovely message! I agree that happiness is the ultimate goal in life. I am wishing you all the happiness in the world. lots of love.
Thank you, kind lady for the therapy session for all of us struggling with these exact same feelings. If by “weird” you mean empathic, intuitive, creative, visionary, and unique….all qualities that you possess…then bring it on! We need so much more of that in this world. Lilla knows it and that’s why the universe put you two together, and it makes me SO joyful that this is happening to you! Also, I’m looking forward to leaf collecting in the forest with you, maybe there will be some fun mushrooms too! ❤❤❤. All the best, Susan
Thank you Susan! You are such a gorgeous person. I love your work so much. Your support means the world to me. I am blessed to have good friends like you guys. I am sending you lots of love!
I just wanted to say, that you're a gorgeous woman, your soul shines bright. I sense maybe your cat is sensing your emotions while your writing. Or she could just want food 😄
Oh, thanks so much!! my cat just wants cuddles all the time, she is a very affectionate baby!
I've been hesitant to get the book, as a friend of mine said it ended up with making her depressed. I am emotionally fragile at the moment. I think I'll watch your journey and see. One thing I'm very aware of is that my inner child was never nurtured and loved. I find that drawing everyday is when I'm at my happiest. Congratulations for starting your channel 🥰
Me encanta verte.... te quiero
Gracias mama!

Thanks so much, I have made many uggly jumpers before this one, it takes practice and patience. I have not done a vudeo for such a long time, I have been crazy bussy, but will do one soon! I really appreciate your support, it means a lot to me, so thanks!

Aw! Thanks so much Manidipa! I am glad you like it! I hope that you are doing alright!
Hello there Paloma!! I bought "The Artist Way" months ago and it sat in my pile of books since then but today I decided to finally pick it up and start reading...I found your channel and decided it was a great way to inspire me to go forward...I've been an Artist for 40 plus years now ..and have spent these past two years working with watercolors....prior to that I was an Acrylic painter and used colored pencils for much of my other pieces of art...I think I'm addicted to buying art supplies since my house sometimes looks like a mini version of Jacksons or here in the states...Jerry's Artarama...LOL....Anyway I just wanted to say hello and to thank you for your inspiration to begin this journey...I usually paint each day regardless if I am inspired or not but lately I feel as if something is missing with my creative process...thus picking up the book! I hope that you had a Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing more of your videos! Stay safe...Rus from across the pond in Pennsylvania 🤓🎁❄🎄☃️
Hi Rus! I am so glad to read tour comment! Thanks so much for joining my chanel! I would love to see some of your work and follow you in social media. I can relate to the collecting of materials. I have some collections that were geting out of control: fabrics, yarns, embroidery threads, crafting supplies of all kind… you name it… when my husband and I moved into our house, our friends suggested that we could have a walk in closet each, we smiled and politely nodded… instead we made our spare rooms into studios: my husband Rory is into diadoramas and his room is filled to the celling with miniature figures of every army in WWII and mine looks like a arts and craft shop! Lol… I look forward to fonding out about how you get on with the artist way. See you soon!
Such a wonderful video Paloma! You are so inspiring and your enthusiasm is catching. Thanks so sharing everything so far, loving your series x
Bravo, pollito! I really enjoy this videos, but all that i could think about this time was that you are getting prettier and prettier and prettier... cada día estas mas guapa! you shine, girl!!!!
I think each day you get nicer and kinder and may be love me a little bit more, and the feeling is mutual! ❤️❤️❤️
Me encanta lo que has hecho con la foto de la abuela!!😍🥰 y el que diga que cantas mal nos lo mandas jajaja
Gracias guapi! La Splatty me da mixed reviews, a veces le molan mis canciones y otras veces sale corriendo!
Wow, you did warn me last week pero no me esperaba para nada this kind of stuff at all!! Looking forward to the next semana, keep it up!!
Muchas gracias! Fue una learning curve! I am having so much fun making videos!
So interesting to hear your feelings about your inner critic doing what it does in order to protect you and turning her into your ally. The first time I went through The Artist’s Way I was in my 20s and I treated my inner critic as a competitor that I wanted to defeat. That had its advantages, but it was too confrontational. Having gone thru the book again about 20 years later, I started treating my inner critic like a rude little child… always wanting to be heard and saying nasty things. That worked better for me because I was the “older one who knew better” and so it was much easier for me to quiet the young critic… and dismiss the negativity as “doesn’t know any better.” I’m so excited to be following with you on your journey, Paloma… and hearing your experiences! 👏🏼🥰
Hi Lisa! Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your experience with your inner critic. It is so interesting to hear how other people deal with this side of our human nature. Thanks so much for following my journey!
So, what can I say about the Artist’s way, about Dave, about you? The book is a life-changing book. Dave is the best. And you, you are una preciosidad, you are a sweet beauty wonderfully taking us by the hand and ushering us into your incredible inner universe… definitivamente todo esto es la caña! Looking forward to watch your next video. Thank you for sharing WHAT YOU ARE❤️
Oh, my godness pulpol!! Thank you gracias so much for your lovely comment! You are the best! You made my day!
Thank you Paloma! Thank you so much for sharing with us! I love your journal! My daughter wants us to make journals too now. We also love Japanese snacks! I especially appreciated what you said about your inner critic and how to deal with it. I admit I have been having trouble lately with mine. 😁 FYI, I love Dave! Happy Friday! ❤
Thank you so much for this lovely comment and thanks for watching my video. The inner critic can be useful if we manage to get it on our side. It takes me a lot of work to get my inner critic under control and journaling helps a lot. Would you like it if I have a ‘how to junk journal’ section in my next video? May be your daughter can get few ideas on how to get started.
@@palomaotoole7456 That would be so awesome! We would love that! 😁💖💖💖
I will add that! 😊
@@palomaotoole7456 Yay! 🥰
