The problem is no matter how entertaining the film was rife with errors and should have been called Buddy Hollywood..the group were not at each other's throats and the Drummer ,Jerry Allison, was not a sloppy drunk who made negative comments about Buddy's wife, he also isn't the one who knocked out Holly's caps, it was the bass player Joe B Mauldin and it happened in the UK not prior to the Sullivan show which is also inaccurately depicted in the film...

If you were 16 when this song was released in 1964 and you say you are 72 now, something doesn’t add up. 72 now would make you born closer to 1948 if you were 16 in 1964 and older than 72 now - more like 76.
