They truly are beautiful. I lived in Germany n traveled Europe for 3 years many years ago and I was amazed at the beautiful Christmas decor n the little villages popping up everywhere especially in Bavaria n Austria around where The Sound of Music was filmed. I felt like I was in a children’s story book. Oh, I’m so sorry I got off track here n I will undoubtedly get nasty comments but I only wanted to tell you that you explain things very well, the cones are beautiful & WHAT IS THE BRAND OF GLITTER AND WHERE MIGHT I PURCHASE IT? I have never heard of German glass glitter, or many of these American decorating ideas. Clearly I am a 71 yr old Christmas decorating virgin, lol.😂😂😂

Such an easy craft to do with kids. You can 'prepare' the pinecones ahead of time (dusting them off/or drying on low heat in oven to cause them to fully open up) - I used some different colors of metallic folk art paint - copper, fushia, teal, etc - and after paint dried, then the glitter - they look so lovely!

For safety purposes, I'd recommend a topcoat of the same modpodge with brush, though there is a spray adhesive gloss modpodge. ❤ these

Where can you buy glass glitter?

I just love the German glass glitter. I never even heard about it until about a year ago. I couldn’t imagine that it could be any better than regular glitter, but it is so beautiful! The old, vintage Putz houses and ornaments were made with this glass glitter.

Put glitter into a plastic bag ,zip lock, ,drop in the cone ,shake about , remove ,leaving glitter in bag etc , way tidied, do it with all sorts of items. ❤❤

Hello, really helpful video. Going to try your technique. One thing, when you started using the needle and thread, how did it stay on as you were pulling the fabric to get that pleated look? I did not see that in this video.

This video is a gem! I absolutely love the jadeite: here in Italy, it is very difficult to find, so I have a million of eBay alerts set up when it becomes available within the EU ;-) I also love the kitty footage: how to you handle candles/open flames with them? My cat seemed to be quite attracted to candle flames when she was smaller, so I haven't dared lighting anything up since then and went for fake flame ones. However, they are simply not the same :-(

How do you stop the cones from closing. When I try this the moisture makes the cone close.

Great ideas for blue and white with fall colors

First time visiting, I live among Pine trees albeit they shed small pine cones. Whenever I’m out walking I see a pretty one I pick it up to use in crafts but never have an idea how. The tree is beyond stunning. Mother Nature would be so delighted 🥰
