Effect of Fin Width on Torpedo Anchor Installation & Pullout
Torpedo anchors are increasingly popular for tethering of offshore structures. Using fins improves their directional stability during penetration, however, fins’ shape affects both penetration depth and pullout capacity. Experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of the width of fins on the behavior of torpedo anchors during penetration and extraction. Four torpedo models having the same weight were made, one without fins and three with four fins. A transparent soil was used to simulate soft marine clay, thus permitting visualizing torpedo soil interaction. The video record demonstrates that the zone of influence during penetration depends on fin configuration. Use of fins dec...

Robit Down the Hole (DTH) Drill Shaft System
Просмотров 2494 года назад
This video is produced by Robit PLC. It is posted for students in my Advanced Foundation Engineering Class. According to Robit "DTH is mainly a pneumatic powered rock or ground drill, in which the percussive hammer is located directly behind the drill bit, so the percussion mechanism follows the bit down into the drill hole. The drill pipes transmit the necessary feed force and rotation to the ...

Inter-Particle Flow visualization using PIV
Просмотров 7997 лет назад
This video depicts flow between soil particles . The transparent soil grains used represents sand. Water is seeded with silver-coated micron-sized particles. The original images (LHS) are captured using an NAC HX5 high-speed camera . Flow characteristics shown on RHS are obtained using particle image velocimetry (aka. PIV). 467 images were employed to produce this video.

Homer saving Maggie from the fan was so cute!❤️
Wow! Only $8500 to fix the foundation?! They got of easy! It's costing us $34,000 to fix ours!😓
Surly Joe didn't let Homer know he was the only foundation guy in town, and instead let Homer look it up on his own. So surly of him.
Noone going to mention the asian tourists have white skin instead of yellow
Unreal how funny Simpsons used to be. Aged like a fine wine.
"Dig your own grave and save." *Where America is headed with drumpf at the helm!*
Seems the whole problem was a washer missing causing water leakage. After parging the lath and using a ladder the men were able to pull the house back into place, it just needed a washer.
HoH SiS can do the JoJ better
How the heck did they get the house up again?
So many quotes and Troy Mclure. Perfect clip
They left out the part where he has to replace most of the windows and the drain pipes after the repair. That's another $40k at least
trump voter fur shur
I remember the days when dishwasher liquid came in the mail lol
When you want foundation repair, you WANT foundation repair
“Marge, get my gun…”
Bart is pretty atheletic to fall from a second story window and not sustain any injuries
0:17 Homer only managed one level of inception this time
Carbon fiber stucco lathe.😂 I love how nothing Troy explains fixes the actual foundation. 🤣
Towards the end Surley Joe turned out to be a rather nice man 👨
Bart leaning on the wall with his arms crossed cracks me up for some reason
“Leaving the Vice President in charge” 😂😂😂
I gotta see that Battleship mothball video
Glad Horus died Fuck him
This reminds me of my dad so much.
Now that I think about it, I don't think modern simpsons would ever show flanders smoking a pipe, that's "too much" for today's standards.
Within one minutes, Homer utters two phrases I have since been using for decades: ‘it’s all part of God’s great plan’ and ‘ya, but what are ya gonna do?’
Why wouldnt he just have repaired that wheb oaud the 8500 lol
Casually drinks dishwasher liquid
“Wait a minute wait a minute” is exactly how I feel when I look for instructions and it directs me to a video.
$8,500 is an absolute steal for fixing an entire sinking house. Surly Joe's going to be putting himself out of business with that kind of pricing.
There should be fine on Trudeau😈 of $200 million dollar for getting screwed and there are a lot of areas in the government that should be defunded... For better financial funding you have #MeridianCU🌎💘💰
2:11 "...leaving the vice president in charge" 🤣
The DIY VHS aged really well to RUclips guides today.
80 hundred
A great scholar having strong insights and work on TSM👍
This is one story thats not ohhhhn the leeevelllll!
Troy
What if I can't find carbon fiber stucco lathe???
Maaarge, get my gun 😕
"Install". This is probably the greatest joke in the whole clip. Only 1 word but anybody who has ever tried to follow some unfamiliar instructions will sympathise.
I dug my own grave… and saved! 👍💰 🪦
1:46 "Now parge the lath".
He's hideous!
old simpsons were full of funny joke after funny jokes, inteligent jokes , well planned . now the most funny thing is seing homer doing skateboarding or something like this. surely joe , you are not the only foundation repairing guy then the yellow pages lol did you see the bubble homer talking about retiring man, joke after joke. and i still laugh each time.
Current Simpsons still gets a good laugh once in a while but man you have to trawl through some unfunny stuff to get there and sometimes it feels like you get a solid two minutes of just characters talking without a single gag.
@@VanessaMagick give me one example.
@@Otak00l In a recent episode, Homer and Marge are driving with Grandpa in the back seat rambling. Homer slowly raises up a partition wall to shut him up. Marge says "When did you have that installed?", and Homer says "Worth every penny, huh?" Marge then asks "...How many pennies was it?", and Homer is silent for a beat and then slowly raises up a second partition wall to shut Marge up. It got a good classic-Simpsons chuckle out of me.
Homer is the classic American
Homer the boomer chugging Dishwasher soap while they make fun of millenials and tide pods.
Slanty shanty had more than one meaning...
As a realtor of nearly twenty years, I don't not argue with one thing in this clip, with the exception of foundation repair being much, much higher now (this clip was like 30 years ago).
$8,500 is a steal for that. I'm fixing to spend $70k on my foundations.
Never ever barge the lab, its pointless..
