on iudex. put armor back and follow shortest path to boss, 3 undead only on your way when you jump down to shortcut. second enemy you can onehitkill with plunge attack, lock on him and jump/slide down and hit midway to ground. when you pull out sword off iudex, start to hit him. 3 times. even you can not see hes health bar, you will chip 10% of its hp. 3 hits enough, save stamina for first boss hits. you see where i keep my position? try be behind its left hand, many of its attacks will go over your head. keep shield up and just circle. when its hit land on your shield watch your stamina, lower shield when you feel its "thinking" to get stamina back fast. while you hold shield on guard, stamina recovers slowly. for first, just circle boss and watch its moves. block hits. keep behind its left hand. you see, at some moment i make a distance. that is not good, because then he performs its jump/leap attack and that needs to be rolled out, because if blocked, it will take all your stamina away. so keep close, i just demonstrate what happens if you try be far. at first i do not block him, i roll below hes left hand, if you learn to timing rolls, its better than blocking. especially when almost naked/light geared. after that i block incoming attacks. as a knight you can block him all day long. then i start chip its health off. id advice hit only when he "thinks" about next move. and make only 2 hits. that way you have stamina for blocking left. 2 hits. circle. block. roll. 2 hits. circle. block. etc. when iudex hp drops below 50%, second phase. he is possesed by abyss entity. its looks scary, but its all the same except few new moves. what NOT to do - do NOT try go away. stay where always, sheperd hes left hand, try be there. sight is obscured now, harder to see what boss do, just keep shield up and circle, when it performs attack, you block, when you feel its now opportunity window, 2 times hit. its enough. circle, circle. opportunity windows usually are after special attack. see that "whirl"? block it or roll it, then 2 times hit. keep circling below left hand or at left side. see that jump in air/slam attack, when it goes up into air, wait 2 seconds, then for safety do 2 rolls at same direction as you circle. few of second phase attacks i try to block, but you see how it staggers me for second? its bad idea to block 2 phase special attacks. yes, shield will keep you safe. at the cost of mobility for 2 seconds. better roll and keep circling. when window, 2 hits.

you can try train roll timings with that first archer.

when you stand still, you can dodge by pressing jump button. not too useful thing but not hurts to know

in upper right corner of inventory screen you can find weight data. if "weight ratio" is not below 70%, your character will be able only do "fat" rolls. this is very bad. always try keep gear weight below 70%, but lighter = better

im taking most armor off because less weight your character has, further and faster rolls are.
