I dont understand why people hate on e bikes
My fav!! We still ride it several times a week!! Great warm-up creek.... High skills Tal!!!
@@OpsalTF Thanks brother 🙏🏻 it sure is one of the best Creeks at Carnegie!
Thanks for posting the videos, it's cool to see what a normal person can do without a clutch 👌. I've got a EX ordered so the vids have got me pumped 🍻
@@chrisgilgen3774 Cheers bro 👍
30 minutes later out of battery
May i ask What is it and how much?

Seems a lot stronger than most electric bikes I’ve heard of, right on.
@@Stackstf thanks! it’s definitely a fun bike.
Dude
Do you have some kind of traction control or do you use the rear brake to act as a clutch on climb with lose rocks etc. You seem to be doing pretty well. I’m on the the fence for the varg EX but still hesitant due to lack of clutch. What’s your take? I’m riding hard rocky trails on a exc-f 350 for now
@@wobblywaldo The rear brake can sometimes help gain traction, but the key is mastering throttle control and ensuring you put enough weight on the rear wheel to minimize wheel spin and maximize grip. For 99% of my rides, I don’t feel the need for a clutch. In the rare scenarios where it might be useful, I manage just fine without it-it’s not a big deal. Like any bike, there are pros and cons, but overall, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. If I were you, I’d definitely wait for the EX model-it’s only a couple of months away!
@ thanks for the quick reply! I’m definitely gonna wait!
Fantastic run👍
@@donnanderson42 thanks 👍
You can hear the traction grabbing and slipping so well. 5:15
That was a smart move just now. 5:06
So awesome!!!! Exactly the time I was thinking we'd be getting routinely with decent runs, just under 3 minutes.... Great work!!! Now we need more rider times in the "Stark Class"!!!! And some more times in the 2 smoker class!!
@@OpsalTF we need another light rain and the times will drop more😬
That's gonna be hard to beat. :) Nice job!
@@loyal2thesoil57 thanks🙏🏻
Great Video. I notice you use the rear hand brake a lot, is that for better traction by controlling wheel spin ?
@@stephenannandale769 thanks! And yes, the rear brake can help gaining traction in some cases. I probably use it more than I should but that’s muscle memory i guess.
I'm curious about your Starkvarg saddle height Can you measure it with a tape measure and let me know?
@@extremesurron9886 35.8 inches
Is there a link or something to a list of all the things you have done to the bike to make it hard enduro ready and the total cost you've put into it to get it to the point you have it now?
@@myalteregohamish Nitro mousse front and back. suspension respiring, revalve and 1.5” lowered. That’s it. The mousse is about $130 each and for the suspension guy, it’s between you and him. We have a local guy that does great work. I paid him $1000 for it. Worth every penny!
@ in your opinion, does it feel everybody as good as a TE 300? Suspension wise?
@@myalteregohamish I would say yes. After the work done on the suspension they feel great just like the other enduro bikes out there.
Sounds gay as fuck though. I don’t buy a dirt bike cause I want to hear natures I buy one for the motor screaming between my legs while I’m flying through the air. Fuck electric.
Another cool vid, 👌 What's your rear tyre & tube?
@@chrisgilgen3774 thanks!👍 I ride with nitro mousse and the IRC ve33s (first time with the IRC, normally I use Michelin enduro medium)
@taldanino99 cheers 🍻
amazing!!
Holy smokes! Not only is it one of the toughest it’s one of the scariest. I cleared it once on my KTM 200 and afterwards said never again! Great job 👏
@@donnanderson42 thanks man! There is definitely a strong fear element coming in to this one, my heart was pumping just from looking at it! But what an awesome feeling is to overcome it 😅
@ you’re definitely one of the best riders out at Carnegie right now and that Stark Varg is amazing!👏
@ that’s a huge compliment coming from experience rider like you, thank you 🙏🏻
@ you’re welcome, looking forward to meeting and riding with you soon I just got to get well I’ve been really sick going on a month now and losing a lot of muscle mass I’m down to 139 pounds. Got a doctors appointment today hopefully figure out what’s going on with me.
@ wishing you speedy recovery, brother💪
How many horsepower do you ride? I'm curious about the range
@@extremesurron9886 In those creeks I shift between 20hp to 28hp, and as long as you spend most day in slow technical, you’ll get easy 4-6 hours ride time.
how many miles roughly at something like this? Or even a little faster pace singletrack what can you get? I ordered the new Varg EX and i'm praying itll go far enough for what i do lol
@ with riding 80% of the time in the slow and technical creeks and 20% on a 2-3rd gear (gas bike speed) single tracks you can get about 4-5 hour ride time with about 30-35 miles.
Dude you’re killing it! The GoPro makes it look so much easier than what it actually is, only the ones who know those trails will appreciate your skill and professionalism.

As good as it gets😉
Can you tell me where the low link is from? Please go to the website , 1.5 inches lower, right?

Well done, @20:45 is darn technical section and made it look relatively easy. Cheers! Seems like some of the sections in the video are not quite stitched together correctly. Meaning was a bit confused as to where u were until realized some parts at top of creeks, like @20:45 are actually above sections shown for example @21:45 bottom of creek is actually bottom of where shown at @20:45

@@timschweiger7879 oh yes, definitely easier to hear your friends yelling bad words at ya🤣
Great video bro
@@noypidirtrider3555 Thanks bro 👍
I always wondered how a varg would do on creek trail! Especially in the wet, gas bikes just spin their rear on those rocks. You gotta go back and ride it all the way through.
@@bikesbeersbeats I did that creek all the way up a couple weeks ago, and it was so fun, but unfortunately didn’t have the camera then. Next time we’ll do a video going all the way up😎
You can still hear the wheel spin…did ok on my gas bike 😂…a good stamina is what you need on that creek haha doesn’t matter what bike you use
@@noypidirtrider3555 i think what i meant was the varg has 100% torque available with no clutch to modulate the power delivery to the wheel, i just assumed wet/slick or low traction terrain wouldnt be fun.
@ I believe it’s has traction control adding clutch to it would be a lot better plus the traction control maybe they will add that one day considering the torque it have
@ @bikesbeersbeats One of the useful things that Stark did is to change the power delivery based on the hp that you use, so when using a low hp setting, the power delivery and throttle response will be very soft and mellow and that will help you to find much better traction than if you were using higher hp mode. This way you can sometimes instantly switch between lower or higher hp inside the creek (for example when you need to hop over a big rock or something) in a similar way you would do on a 2 stroke when changing gears for different obstacle scenarios or if you’re on a loose rocky section. With the ability to have preset 5 different settings at the push of a button it makes it really useful, and to be honest until now I had like 10 rides on the bike and so far I didn’t had a situation when I told myself “damn I need a clutch.” Hope it helps to explain some of the bike characteristics.
It's the best if you record the mileage and the remaining battery capacity
@@extremesurron9886 Noted.. 👍
Dude you made it look so easy especially in this slippery conditions, only the ones who knows Hollister will get it. The video quality is amazing too. Thanks for sharing another great video.

@@badmotofo this is the 80hp, but to be honest, most of the ride in this video is nowhere near the 80..
That bike looks like the Carnegie killer. If I only rode there I would consider one; though I’d probably be stupid and go into East Bay regional parks at night. I’d also need ear plugs. I’m not into the electric whine. My wife even told me turn the volume off when I was watching your video.
