Have fun practicing your footwork and punches, always heavy spar if u can. As u gain expertise in the footwork, u can try mixing in kicks and train elbows, lethal techniques also, unorthodox techniques. No need for grappling or bjj, also learn how to block kicks, I had this practice under an oldschool boxing school. 😂

@@eliaskjrbo8142 black belt doesn't mean much in karate. in karate, espiecially shokotan, the black belt just means that you mastered the fundamentals. And this is why I don't like arts like Karate. You spend 2 years to master the fundamentals, while that fat guy that joined a boxing gym last year can beat the crap out of you.

@@hellohennessy3462 I beg to differ. There’s different levels of “black belt” per se. Most take karate for the martial arts aspect but very few take it to the next level for “fighting/competition”. I’ve sparred mma fighters, kickboxers, boxers, Muay Thai guys, etc and some days I was the hammer and some days I was the nail
