More Texas blues (ZZ Top) style to me......
Interesting! I've never listened to ZZ Top at all! I believe the style is much earlier, lots of 50's boppers use this - like John Lee Hooker speeded up! Can. you recommend a ZZ Top track I should listen to so I can hear that?
Dear Sir, Came upon your channel by complete accident and do Love what you're doing. There is a slight problem with the audio transmission, seems to be a bit muddy. Please don't take offense, just thought to mention it in case other viewers are having the same experience. Cheers
Thanks! I’ve upgraded my audio recording recently so I hope it’s better in more recent videos
This is really good lesson. Thanks
Thank you!
I really need tabs when you do these lessons please!
Great feedback, thank you! I try to explain which fret on each string I use, tabs take a long time to create and edit into the video. Would you want it for everything or just particularly hard parts?
@IansRockingMusic At my age complete tabs help tremendously when someone is playing guitar too fast and fingers block other fingers and the player is opposite of the way I'm playing.
I can hear that you pulled it all together in those riffs. Very nicely done!! 🎉
Thanks a lot!
Boogie Chillen!
Absolutely! That’s the bent C in action!

Very handy, thanks!
Great video! Albert Collins (when he would play rhythm but his rhythm players for sure) used this a lot.
Cool 😎
Some great sounding chords and ideas. Thank you for posting 😊
Great stuff, Ian, thank you! I especially liked the idea of combining the E6 at the 4th fret with the A7 at the 3rd, and, of course, corresponding positions up the neck-- very cool!
