This look like very fine lectures. But how can I listen to them in order without have to search through the entire list, trying different ones until I find the continuation from the last? When I click on "Play All" this is the first that plays which is clearly not the beginning lecture.

I can't get the energy balance to add up using a single layer heat balance. Everything matches except, Energy Gained and lost by the Atmosphere = 128%, energy lost from the surface = 115%. Also, the surface temperature comes out to be pretty cold 267.75K. Everything else is the same as what you have at the 5.16 minute mark.

Oh thank god, I thought that the world had gone crazy when I decided to research this in a hobbyist capacity and the first video I found was an actual animation of epicycles of mars with Earth at the center as if it were an explanation. My favorite part is the linguistic context of how planets were first described! It reminds us that the ancients were pretty wrong, but not stupid. They were just dutifully reporting what their eyes showed them.
